I filed around Jan 10th '07 (not exactly sure when I sent it in), received on Jan 25th and biometrics on the 23rd of Feb. She took my information again and said she was pushing through a "non delivery of green card" as that was the only option available on her screen. She gave me a confirmation number and a date of April 27th. If I don't hear anything (presumably by mail) by that date then I can call again. My extension runs out on April 23rd and I have an Infopass set for April 2nd to get a stamp on my passport as I have to travel soon.

I-751 sent to NSC: 01/--/07

NOA1: 01/25/07

Biometrics: 02/23/07

Tick..tock

Contacted congressman, ombudsman late March

Got 1 yr stamp and case moved to CSC: 04/02/08

Approved: 04/08/08. Done with USCIS for a few years. :)

Card received: 04/14/08

Well the thing is I am going to Texas for 4 months, and what worries me is that if I do a request or ask my attorney to do a request for me , they will make me have an interview , I don't have a problem with , Buti am going to be on JOb training in TX for 4 mts and I just don't want to tell my job like in the middle of it that I have to go back to Missouri , so that is why I am in between , what do you think is the best think , I applied in 06/12/07 received NOA 06/22/07 and Biometrics on 07/12/07 , MY 1 year extention expire on 08/25 /08

Hi,

I got my I-551 stamp in my passport today, it's good for another year. They did take my green card though but I was happy about that as the idiots got my DOB wrong when they issued it in the first place. It's a nightmare travelling when your passport doesn't agree with your card but I wasn't going to pay those guys $70 dollars to correct their mistake and wait another year for a replacement. The guys in Seattle have no idea whether my case is going to be transferred, lost, or is sitting on some shelf gathering dust in the Nebraska office. The guy did advise me not to apply for citizenship yet as they are so backed up. I don't know if I want to pay nearly $700 dollars anyway to the USCIS to jump through more hoops and get more peeved and just wait on my green card to turn up.

I called my senators office again today, after a two week-two day waiting period, was informed that our I-751 package was sent from Nebraska to California and received there as of March 14, 2008, and they haven't had time to look at it. Was told to check back in another two weeks, so I marked my calendar.

I received no notification from the USCIS that our package was transferred and our case status still shows we are in Nebraska. It just sounds like our package sat in Nebraska for a year and gathered some dust. But they did open it and cashed the check.

You see that is the problem, When Texas center send their files to Vermont, all vermont people applications received an emial about it,

and now they are saying they send ours to California but we did not received anything about it, I don't think it is true, I think they are just blaffing us USCIS and senators also

Seaflower, you asked Can anyone give me a suggestion please?

Thank you

I did contact my attorney, he said he can't do anything but suggested I contacted my senator, that I did and the above is the response I have received. Now have to wait another two weeks.

My congressman sent me this reply today from his contact at NSC. It confirms the transfer to CSC:

"There is a process in place where the I-751's are being sent to CSC. It appears from service records that the A file is already at the CSC office (He refers to my case and the reason my A-file is already at CSC is probably because I filed the N400 there in January). I will inquiry with one of the adjudicators that still works a few I-751's and see if it can be sent soon. I'm sure NSC is doing everything they can to get these I-751's out to CSC."

I called USCIS but they couldn't tell me anything new. The guy didn't know anything about the transfer, I never got to talk to an IO. He did file a new service request, my second for this case. He wrote down in the request that my congressman is involved. Hopefully that can put some pressure on it.

Tom was off today so I had him call and he spoke to two different people. Neither was very helpful and refused to give him a service request (they were friendly though). They said he has to make an infopass appointment first. They did not mention his app. being sent to California, so I don't think it has. I know they did look into their computer (I think) since they asked Tom for a lot of info and he was on hold for awhile.

He made an inforpass appointment for the second week of April. We will see then.

Yep,I do agree 100% .Why bother paying another $700 ,filling N-400 when they can't deliver the service that you paid for already ????

THIS IS NOT THE FIX FOR I-751

Ha, that's not what Emilio said, processing N-400's faster than they are coming in the door. Just a problem the way our system has become, elect a new president and about 10,000 buddies that helped him get there are given key agency jobs. Have to deal with the guy they put in in charge of the FAA electronics that doesn't know the difference between a light bulb and a resistor. EPA can't even write their own certification tests, have to rely on 3rd parties, and if you want to pass, you don't put in the correct answer, but the answer they want. FCC broke a long standing regulation where foreign corporations can own our communications industry, are we being brainwashed? Bankruptcy laws do not apply to the IRS, the list goes on and on, so why should the USCIS be any different?

One thing they all have in common, is that they can shut you down, so you have to be nice and work with them to survive. Since my wife is from Venezuela, read some about the history of that country, was actually a very nice place to live before Chavez took over, claims to be helping the poor, but stealing from those that have worked hard to get where they are. Also took over all the private communications and utility companies and put his own buddies in charge that also don't know what they are doing causing additional hardships for his people.

I have no choice but to proceed with the N-400 and if you don't get in line will never have hope that your turn will eventually come.

I can't believe they made you surrender your green card, even expired, the USCIS states that is your only proof of being a permanent resident, even though you cannot travel or get employment with it. What's going on here now with the illegals, and they can be stopped by the cops with a failed parking lamp, no drivers license, go to jail where the USCIS is contacted. They are stripped of everything they own except for the shirt on their backs and transferred just as far as the US-Mexican border and dropped off without a cent in their pockets. They have even done this to the breadwinner of the family, not deporting his kids as they were born here and considered as US citizens and leaving his wife alone to care for them with no means of support. This is a reality we all should be aware of.
