hello statman,

I have a question from you or other folks,

we filed for Removing conditions at NSC and were transferred to CSC as well. So very similar to yours..

Our original date of 1st (conditional GC) is 2/15/06. Kinldy let me know how to calculate when we would be eligible for filing the Naturalization letter.

thanks

Based on what I've read, you can apply anytime within the 90 days prior to the 3rd anniversary of receiving the first green card if the application is based on being married to a US citizen. Since your original date is 2/15/06 you should be able to apply any time within the 90 days before 2/15/09.

Good luck!

thanks statman,

that was what I was leaning towards as well, thanks for the confirmation.

We have applied for the removing condition now, let's say for some reason I didn't receive the 10 year GC until the time frame of 90 days before 2/15/09 (the 3rd anniversary of my wife's 1st GC), can we still apply for the citizenship, or do we need to wait until we have the new GC in hand before we apply????

thanks for you help again.....

Amar,

Even if you don't receive the 10 year Green Card you can still apply for citizenship.

get the I-551 stamp in your wife's passport to extend the extension letter, then apply for naturalization.
