I have been looking at everyone's timelines but I am trying to not to get upset. My packet was signed for on Monday morning and my check has still not been cashed and I just want something...to know that something is in the process.

I know that they are having NOA1 delays however please is this normal, what is normal...how long must I wait?

Give it a little time, its only been 2 days. Sometimes it can take a while for them to cash the check.

This is a long, tiring, frustrating process. No need to start getting upset now.

Some people's checks get cashed within a couple days. Others' checks (like mine) didn't get cashed for months. It has no bearing on how quickly your case is moving along. Just be patient, or you will go nutty in a jiffy

They will cash it soon I would guess. They cashed mine in 3 days so just wait a few more days keep us updated.

hang in there. This stuff takes time and freaking out so early in the process will not help! Relax and know that they Do have your petition and the NOA1 is in the works! Deep breaths! Good luck!!!

no big deal for the NOA1.. even if you receive your noa1/check cashed etc 2 months from now, your case will still being processed during that timeframe. Of course it's always cool that have news and the better, the sooner

It's just the start of the process, relax and just focus on the love you have for each other (well i'm saying that but i kinda freaked out after 30 something days my application was sent,, because it was too long etc etc...hum...).

My check took 6 weeks to cash. Don't worry about it, they'll cash it eventually. Also, the time you are waiting still "counts." Your petition will be processed in the order it was received, not from when they cashed you check. So none of this time is wasted. Good luck!
