I'm a pretty heavy Dillard's patron and see this as a definite piss poor call on the employee. However, I don't believe in holding the entire corporation responsible or liable for damages unless they fail to terminate the employee toot sweet. We are far too sue happy in this country, which only raises prices even higher, penalizing all of us. After they terminate the employee they need to promptly bestow a whooole lot of free merchandise upon this mistreated veteran and issue a sincere public apology. I think that would be sufficient.
