i was going to wait too...but whats to wait for? to gain another pound or two before i start? lol!!! lets go to the gym! :D

exactly. I'm really worried because I usually gain like 15 lbs on winter time and I lose before summer, but we're going to Brazil 2nd week of February, and I won't have til summer to lose the holiday/winter weight.

I asked hubby for one of those fancy weight/body fat scale and I will get back to watching my weight.

I LOVE my elliptical I got last year for Christmas. Even though I've only lost 15 pounds (better than nothing right?) my BMI has gone down into a healthy range, I feel 100% better and my diabetes is more gone!

I also started taking something called Symmetry about 6 months ago which I beleive has totally made a difference in how I feel. It's been talked about on the news and the Today Show! It totally detoxifies your cells. I can't begin to tell you the changes I've seen in myself and others since starting it.

I don't buy one because they're really pricey and I have access to the gym here on base for free. But if I had to drive to town and pay for a gym membership I'd strongly consider investing in one.

Something to keep in mind about buying an elyptical or any machine....repetitive movement can not only be tedious over time, but also can strain your ligaments and joints. I've had pain in my front shoulders and wrists from overuse of the elyptical. I'll vary what machine I use to give those specific joints and muscles a chance to rest and recover, especially since I'm older now. I used to play street basketball almost everynight at a local park about 15 yrs. ago ...I sure miss playing.

I vary machines at the gym also, but if you can't afford to have a home gym, I think elliptical is a great choice, since it works several muscles.

thats what i love about the gym. i use the treadclimber, treadmill, bike, staircliber, etc all to get a different work out each time. sometimes i even do 15 minutes of each in a single workout.

That's great. I have a love/hate relationship with the stairclimber....it's an awesome exercise, but I hate doing it. :P
