Yes I'll join in and Wed. is my Monday... :D .... I need to lose at least 20lbs The last time I say my husband I was about 15lbs lighter... I hope he get's an appointment next week for a February interview so I'm really motivated to get started...

lol..you sound exactly like me...but i'm seeing him next week :dance: --it was a last minute trip that i planned..but that surely didn't stop me from taking this chance to visit!!! :no: haha..

also...i started the diet that i posted earlier in this forum and i wasn't even following it exactly--i skipped meals--didn't drink water like i should, etc...[had a donut one day.. :hehe: lol]---but i saw a friend today and she said i lost a lot of weight over just a few days... :dance::dance: woohoo!!!! lol...hopefully i can lose some more before next tuesday!!! :unsure:

It's so hard to be the only one in the household that is eating healthy. Hubby eats all he wants and keeps that junk in the house. I don't want him to suffer because of me but it's so tempting to eat cookies when they are right there in the cabinet! I think I will have more success when I start working.

I feel your pain. I wish hubby would join me so there would be no fattening stuff in the house, which makes more difficult to diet. If you don't have food you won't eat, period. If you have you need to control yourself and sometimes that peanut butter jar is screaming my name: EAT ME, NESSA, EAT ME!! :lol:

lol...you two are super cute.

Nessa: my weakness is cookies. I can give up anything and everything but yummy delicious cookies! Sometimes I will grab a vegan cookie from Whole Foods and justify my indulgence but I am sure they are not any healthier.

i don't like those diets. I buy some products, but don't follow any specific diet. I know what I can eat and what I can't and if I follow one of those diets, like South Beach, I'll be deprived of some of the things I like and I'll wind up jumping on something fattening that I was craving for so long.

It is a one day at a time with lots of activity. This is not a diet it is a life change. Eat to live instead of lviing to eat.

when I pay attention to what I am eating, I find that I do not eat enough. I is easy for me to loose when i am paying attention and acknoledging. Its when I am busy, tired , and stressed that I tend to let things slide and do not bring it back into prospective.

I usually eat non-stop when I'm bored at home.

Me too! That's why I know that I will make progress once I start to work. Although maybe I should make sure I don't work somewhere that will encourage my indulgence of cookies. I had way more self control as a teen. I went vegetarian and stayed that way for two years. I started gaining once hubby came. I figured, hey I got him now so who cares about my figure! hehe...
