Actually, the TOS does not codify this practice.  This is more of a general rule of thumb.

We have Mods to guide us in the way of the ToS.

it's been standard practice for at least several years now.  those who willfully disregard mod direction on this

will find themselves receiving attention they don't want.

I know right. That is why I was surprised it didn't match. I always cut and paste , and I am much too lazy to type my own.
