DOES A VISIT VISA DENIAL MEAN NO APPROVAL FOR CR1 VISA?

After my wife and I got married, she applied for i-130 for us and then i applied for a visit visa to visit her and attend my sister in law's wedding (my wife's sister) but i was denied for the visit visa.

 

So my question is: Is this gonna affect my chances of getting approved on CR-1 Visa? Although We're waiting for the NVC to schedule an interview for us.

A B2 denial does not affect nor influence your CR-1 approval or rejection.

I agree, my wife (at the time fiancé) applied twice for a visitor visa and was denied both times.  We had no issues with the K1.  As long as she didn't misrepresent herself at the interview for the visitor visa interview she should have no issues with the CR1.

Any red flags and other issues such as AP, will not be related to the denied visit visa as long as there was no misrepresentation there.

 

you do have red flags it seems and due to country may go into AP.

It depends on the reason why your visitor's visa was denied. If it was a standard "insufficient ties to your home country", it will not affect the Immigrant Visa. If it was for some other reason, it could.

The potential impact is that you may be asked about it.  Tell the truth.  Consular Officers are aware that most people don't know they have no chance of receiving an non-immigrant visa when an immigrant visa is in process, or simply that they are married to a US  Citizen.  I suggest a shrug of the shoulders and the words, "I thought it might be possible to attend the wedding of...  Silly me." or something to that effect.

in the DS260 they asked if i was denied in a visa before i chose "Yes" and they asked for the reason i wrote "THE CONSULATE CONCLUDED THAT I FAILED TO PROVE A NON IMMIGRANT INTENTION"

Which is definitely a correct answer.  When asked about it in person, I advise a less formal reply.

No , it doesn't , my husband applied for IR1 for us and we applied for a visiting visa but we got denied , I was told this is not the right visa for me , because my husband is a US citizen , after 2 years we had our interview for our IR1 visa and we got approved .
