I-129F processing time discrepancy

Hi All,

First some background-

Sent packet: 12/22/2016

NOA1: 01/05/2017

Is anyone else experiencing a discrepancy from the times reported on this website with the actual processing times via USCIS?

I am more than a month over my expected NOA2 date according to VisaJourney (it has been slowly adjusting ever since but was originally end of March) and when I solicited USCIS they just told me to check the website and, considering it was not past their reported processing times, there was nothing that could be done. According to similar timelines I see others in the meantime have been approved.

Should I be worrying?

If there was any concerns or RFE they would have contacted me by now, correct?

Thanks!

Mike

Times given on VJ here are an 'average'; but it is a small number compared to the amount of petitions actually handled by USCIS. The time lines here again just are references, not guarantees.

USCIS will always tell you 5 months processing time, so until then you really just have to wait.

And, RFE's are still possible. It has happened before; but again at this point just have to be patient.

You are still within the normal processing time. There is definitely a discrepancy between VisaJourney processing times and the official USCIS times. VisaJourney just provides an average based on other user data, so it isn't always the most accurate. With that being said, it's hard to tell at this time when you will receive NOA2 approval. You could hear back today, or you could hear back several weeks from now. There have been many early January NOA2 approvals recently, however there are still many people waiting from November, December and early January who have not heard anything. It is a very frustrating wait, but until the official USCIS processing time is listed as being past your NOA1 date, there isn't much you can do other than wait. I do hope you hear something sooner rather than later!
