When do we need to submit Affidavit of Support and by who?

We now at the stage of NOA1. We got our case number and I wonder when should we start preparing Affidavit of support form and by whom should be the one preparing it? The petitioner or the beneficiary?

Moreover, would it be a bad case or having higher chance to get denied if the petitioner currently is unemployed and ask family member to co-sponsoring for the K-1 visa?

Please help!

Thanks a lot

You will bring the affidavit of support to the interview. The petitioner fills out the affidavit. You should not start to do this until your case is at least at the NVC. Doing it now when you only have your NOA1 can make your affidavit outdated by the time you're ready for the interview.

The USC petitioner will fill out an I-134, and if you need a co-sponsor, they will fill out their own separate I-134.
