Delay in Delivery of Approved Visas

I think Pau5 also has a good idea to add to this thread. As hopefully soon this will be fixed, we then need to track what the actual delay is for getting the visa after interview. So can I suggest when it's up, we start putting our interview dates, and then time to visa issue as well - that would help with everyone's stress levels?

I just read this on facebook.....

Visa issuances at all U.S. consulates abroad have stalled out worldwide due to a computer hardware failure. The consulates cannot transfer information to DHS for security background checks of foreign applicants needed for visa issuance. There are a few exceptions for emergencies, but the large majority of visa interviews are being rescheduled. The problem should be fixed sometime this week, and then clearing out the backlog will be the next problem. This is a bit of a disaster for everyone.

Yes that backlog is going to be another matter. This what happens when government refuses to upgrade and wants to stay in the stone age.

Can you imagine any company down like this not producing with what 100 "experts" looking at it which is impossible. Because if it was true I would have got a call. And that's no lie. So the are full of themselves.
