Hello Everyone from Joe and Xiumei!!

Yes we agree. The wait is awful. NOA1 Sept. 16. Over six months now. I have called the USCIS. They had me file a form to search and find out what happened. They said if I had not heard anything in a month to call back. What a joke!! All we can do is wait. From everything and everybody I have talked to 6 months and 1 week is about the normal time for Vermont Service Center as of this month. We hope to hear something next week. Well we hoped to hear something last week, and the week before that, and the .................

Will post as soon as we hear something. Some before us have approvals, some after us have approvals. Who Knows??

Good Luck,

Joe

hey mate..

i think it was tuesday or wednesday my partner called up USCIS and they said they were doing the 11th of September 2010, so your very close, would be surprised if u didnt hear something this week!! well hopefully anyways for you.. we are the 23rd, probably a few weeks away for us :( will be 6 months for us on Wednesday this following week, keep us informed

Know it's been a week or two since someone has posted on this page, but I'm in the same boat with the VSC. Wondering if anyone has heard any news. I've talked to an immigration officer who said it would be done within the month for my petition filed in the middle of Sept. Hopefully sooner than later. This is just so annoying. Hope everyone's is approved soon!

hey mate..

My partner called up and pretty much demanded a expedite.. we were the 23rd of Sept.. she sort of was stunned on the phone and my girl got one so yeh we got approved the next day!! We also had the congressman and senator call up for us which i read that they are suppose to respond to the senator/congress within 48 hours.. we are not sure what worked but we got it.. so if i was you, i would be getting the congressman/senator onto it right away as your date was after ours!

have a read of this http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a good link.. if u have any other questions just ask away.. with the congressman there will be a form ull have to print off their site and fax or mail in! really hope it hurries up for u cos i know exactly how u are feeling and it sucks big time!

Thanks mate, just to let u know i looked at the bottom of the reply from the uscis to the congressman (we had congress and senator call ;) and it said congressional unit.. which means they have a special unit for those inquiries.. so give it a call.. maybe do it at 5 and half months and keep trying every few weeks... good luck mate, hope all goes well for you and hurries up :)

Every time I call the Vermont Service Center it seems impossible to speak with anyone. The automated message continues to say to call back from 8 to 8 Mon.-Fri., but I just called at 10:45AM.

Is this a common problem? Throughout this whole experience I have found it impossible to speak with anyone.

Also, I submitted on Nov. 12th. If the September folk haven't been approved yet I must be looking at another month at least.

I made an inquire at VSC and they emailed me back that they did not give me any new information about paperwork except that they are working on it and it will be 60 days more for a total of 8 months. I have contacted my senator to expedite my file. My friend had to get his senator involved also. Once he got involved in 1 week he was approved. Everyone should contact their senators and contact VSC by phone and email. You have to but your life on hold until the government finish playing their games with honest citizens and give more benefits to the illegals.

Just got approved yesterday! And yep, it was because I contacted my senator and it was expedited. Finally done with the VSC, but just another testimony that you need to contact you're senator. I got a call from the senator's office two days ago about it being expedited and the next day it was approved. It's the best way to go after that 6 month mark. Wish I did it sooner.

is it worth contacting senator if USCIS juts sent a letter saying there "doing additional" work on the case and we should hear back in 60 days?

My priority date is sept 9th. So it's been over 8 months

I think it is def worth contacting your senator. I put in a service request with the USCIS and they responded similarly to what you recieved that they needed additional time. But I contacted my senator and explained that it was past the posted processing time. They put in a call and got the petition expeditied. Then in less than 2 weeks it was approved. So, you should try, especially since it could get it down a lot faster than the 60 days they gave you. Good luck!
