Fastest way to get IRS Tax transcripts

Recommended Posts

I did a search on this topic, and found what I was looking for, but when I clicked on the link, it redirected me to the visajourney home page. Not too helpful.

Anyway...

I'm under the impression that it is possible to have the transcripts faxed, instead of waiting the 2 weeks to receive the paper copy.

Is this true?

if so, how would one go about sorting this out? I'm assuming you cannot do this through the automated phone version?

Thanks in advance

Mikey--Call them. Then have them fax it to you while you're on the phone. Should be done in 10 minutes--48 hours.

Mailing will take at least a week.

I'll see if I find the link for you. For some reason, everything keeps getting redirected to the homepage for me as well.

How long will it take for you to get your new PCCs?

I called the IRS, and they faxed them to me, total process took about 20 mins.. I had already ordered them about 6 weeks prior.. was still waiting on them at the time I sent off my AOS package.. so in the AOS I sent the faxed copies of the Taxtranscripts for myself and my co-sponsor.. AOS was approved without any issues..

1 (800) 829-1040 thats the number :P

Goodluck!!

I recieved the hard copies a week after I sent in my AOS package.. going to keep them and take them to the interview incase there would be any issues :D

IRS people are usually very friendly on the phone. NVC people are not...

but you MUST be AT the fax machine they send it to. and you better be when they ask you because you gotta wait on hold about 20 minutes to talk to someone!!

but they can usually send you out a hard copy the same day if you ask. then you only wait a few days to have it in the mail.

I just had my '09's faxed to me on Friday. Just call their 800# - you have to wait about 10 minutes to speak to someone, but it takes them no time at all to fax them to you.

You do have to be somewhat near a fax machine. I could hear the fax coming in from around the corner.

I used their automated system and all you need is your SS# and your mailing address that you used when you file the taxes. Took less than 6 minutes to fill everything in. I got it in the mail 8 days later.
