hello. iam currently from morocco. i met my boyfriend on a dating site we've been talking for 2 months right now and decided to take a step and meet up and also meet his family because we re serious about each other and he might probably come back with me to meet my family. for some reasons he cannot travel at the moment (work, building a house)so we planned i come. I wanna apply for a B1/B2 visa and he gonna sponser me and my trip  expenses. we are worried to face problems from the embassy in morocco or to be refused...as i am a girl of  20 years a university student and my boyfriend is 41 is that gonna be a problem? and if the embassy will refuse my visa? and also what steps do we need to take? (sorry for my bad english)

Is your family (assuming muslim) ok with you dating and co-habiting with someone twice your age? If so, you apply for a b2 and find out.

He can't sponsor you. A tourist visa can't be sponsored.

you have to show that you have strong ties to your home country and can pay your trip and support yourself on your stay.

all you can do is try.

There is no sponsorship of tourist visas. You apply on your own.

Judging from having gone through the Embassy....it's really a hard Embassy.  Also, knowing the culture an older man will not be a problem.  Tourist visas are very hard to get from that region...especially for young people.  You will have to tell them why you are coming here and it's best to be honest to see your boyfriend or a friend you have been talking to for a few months.  If you don't tell them this if he applies for you in the future to come here your immigration applications are all kept on record.  If you say you are coming to see the USA then later apply for a fiancé visa or spousal visa you'll get caught in a lie.

Ignore what you read. It doesn't make sense. Tons of people get tourist visas to the US without knowing anyone here. A family doesn't need to personally know someone in the US and have that person sponsor them to come and vacation in Disney World.

humm this is what im worried about....we don't wanna lie about anything we just want to be honest because we don't wanna face any problems in the future...as we're worried it will be refused. as we are not planning to apply for a fiance visa when im there we want to do everything in the right way

So just be honest.  my thoughts to you as an American who married a Moroccan...have him figure out a way to come to you.  There is nothing better than meeting the person you may spend the rest of your life with on their homeland first. He can get to know you and your culture. I wouldn't have changed our meeting for anything.  However, if you apply for a tourist visa just be honest "yes I'm going to see my boyfriend or if you haven't put that label on it yet my friend I have been talking to for however many months. Moroccan embassy is tough but when you are honest everything goes so smoothly.

My now husband came here on a K1 visa. We got married here.  I've been with him over 2 years.  I have made multiple trips to Morocco.  For a young male in Morocco it is next to impossible to get a tourist visa. I liked going there to get to know him better.  I was able to get to know the real him in his comfortable surroundings.

It wasn't hard for us.  Ours went through when USCIS was going kind of slow.  It took us a total of 8 months.  I also had a RFE for missing documents.  But it wasn't hard.  We also had many meetings. I had trips there and solid proof of our relationship. I don't know how hard it would be only meeting once.  Casablanca is not easy so before we filed we made sure we had a lot of proof and a solid relationship.
