Next dilemma is not meeting financial income to sponsor. No joint sponsor available after agreeing to do so. My wife's interview is next month. What can be done?

Thanks for the info. At least not a total loss. Sponsor (Brother) said he can't do it.

Not to push, but did he give a reason as to why?  I'm only asking because people may get scared with immigration being  involved and not really aware of the true information and (really) very very low risk.  Have you talked to him about it?

Sorry for that :(

if you are about to go to the interview, it means he already signed all the papers that you sent right?

If he planing to send a letter or something to USCIS/NVC to try to change it? If he doesn't, could you still go to the interview with the papers he already have to you?

Oh I know how you're feeling right now, the stress and the anguish. :( Our joint sponsor did the exact same thing. To aus a while to forgive her.

Do you and/or your wife have assets to use instead? It's three times the poverty guidelines and they can be in the immigrating spouse's name.

I am back in the States. I've asked everyone I know for help but no one will do it. I have no assets to claim. Although on disability, I'm going to try working for extra income. I can't afford an attorney either.

My wife had her interview last month. She was asked of additional documents they didn't ask her to bring to the interview. But bottom line,  said I need a joint sponsor. I talked with a friend about doing it. He was willing to do it and asked what I needed of him to do. Unfortunately, all his income goes towards taxes on properties and long mixed up situation.

I've called someone twice now, but they've said "No" by not returning my call.

Are there any other options getting around the joint sponsor block? I want my family in the States. What can I do????

Social Security gives me the option what they call TWP (Trial Work Period) If I can find a job I can do, I can work for max of nine months, earning unlimited income without it affecting my SSDI check. So I'll be contacting temp agencies until I find work. In the meantime, I'll be sending off the documents they requested without the AOS from a Joint Sponsor.

Now, my stepdaughter's case was approved and I got the letter. I have to start processing that when I can pay the AOS Fee.

I think the issue is that there is a huge cloud of uncertainty with things related to immigration now. And it has gotten a lot of people on edge. Yes we can tell them that the affidavit of support is rarely enforced by the government if things go sour with the immigrant. But there is just too much going on with this current administration in the White House. Who knows what will happen next. Whose to say a year from now there is an order to start enforcing the affidavit and start coming after sponsors. Of course, this is all in theory what I am saying but my point is with so much uncertainty people may just be distancing themselves from anything related to immigration.

Stay strong and keep trying. The answer will come to you soon.

Good luck to you.

I've relocated myself to Pittsburgh, PA and currently working two full-time jobs to meet financial requirements. Looking for house/apartment, submitting all required documents (domicile, income, etc) and bringing my family home to the USA!
