Question about Joint Credit Account

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding you guys' choices on Credit Card while going through ROC process. Most Banks nowadays don't have joint credit accounts and only offer authorized user. And only few of them would put authorized users' activities on the monthly statement. We currently have one that could show Authorized user's activities on monthly statement but it's not our favorite card. My hubby and I are big travelers so picking the right Credit card could give us a lot of benefit for our trips. However, the ones we like the most(Chase) won't put authorized user's name or activities on the monthly statement. Although getting this card could give us a lot of perks when traveling, we certainly want to make sure our ROC process goes well next year. I'm wondering what are your takes on this? Should we stay on the safe side and just apply it after the ROC? Any advice would be appreciated!

Make a copy of the Chase cards when you get them and submit that. It will show both of your names

for each card with the number. You can always show a copy of both cards from the ones you already have, where you are both

authorized users.

Make sure you gather your joint bank account statements to show financial co mingling from conception

of marriage. Read over the ROC guide for a well rounded list of other items to submit.
Also wills, power of attorney etc.

Thank you for the input. I just hope that they won't have to see the monthly statements.

Thanks. We also have a Capital One card, it's great that they print out all the transactions separately, however it's not our favorite card tho lol

Thank you for the suggestions. We do have many other proves as well such as joint bank account. My only concern about this is that on our joint bank account statement, most of the expenses beside bills are paying for credit card. And therefore, I'm not sure if they would want to check the details for our credit card account as well.

Thanks! BoA actually also provides joint credit account. Our joint bank account is with BoA and I got my first credit card from them.

Even if your spouse's name is the only one on your Chase card, send in statements.  Photocopy both cards, and also send in statements that show that the Chase card is used for many of your purchases.  Since it matches up to your joint checking account, that shows that at least you (the non-USC) know that money is going out of the checking account.

I know that when we sent in our ROC package, we went to the online web page for our account like your Chase account and did a print screen that showed the primary name and the authorized user (probably in the "profile" section or something like that).  I had a card where my spouse was an "authorized user" and SHE had a card where *I* was the authorized user.  Same physical address on the statements.  We photocopied the cards, the online page and sent statements.

Best of luck with your ROC!
