Hello everyone

I need some answers to clear my mind so I stop freaking out . we send our application on march 3rd and got our NOA1 on March 12th. We still waiting on our noa2 which am thinking should be here by now.

So, I was going thru the copies am supposed to send my fiance and realized I made some simple error on the G-325A form .I realized i left a letter in my last name and also happened to spell american Amweican dont know how tat escaped me. will that call for RFE? If yes at what time should I be expecting. Should I have gotten a letter in the mail already?.

Nice name :)!

I got a RFE a month after my NOA1 when the site said my case would be adjudicated I got the RFE update that day.. Mine was for forgetting a intent to marry for the beneficiary me :(. So it was easy to fix, I don't know if the spelling error would actually give you an RFE or not but you would be notified when your timeline should be adjudicated.

Hold onto your hat its going to be a bumpy ride!!

but don't worry you'll get through it :luv:

See the bottom of your timeline? It says approximate adjudication date is this week.

Use the search tool to search similar topics. There have been several.

Use the guides to check processing times

So no not yet. Normal processing time is 5 months

If I recall correctly the NOA 2 can take up to six months. You're only at the two month mark. I know it's hard but just be patient, it will come. Remember that the times on VJ are just estimates and averages of the site users. From what I've read misspellings are grounds for an RFE on the other hand I have read posts where it was overlooked. Well wishes!!!!

Hey!

No, I wouldn't worry about that mistake at all. It's okay waiting for the NOA2 it's always the hardest part. For us it took a little more than two months don't you worry and keep a good energy! ?

No way. Expect to wait 10 months for the NOA2 and be happy with 5.

So, I was going thru the copies am supposed to send my fiance and realized I made some simple error on the G-325A form .I realized i left a letter in my last name and also happened to spell american Amweican dont know how tat escaped me. will that call for RFE?

No

If yes at what time should I be expecting. Should I have gotten a letter in the mail already?.

No, it hasn't been at least 5 months yet, let alone 10.

From what I understand if I am correct, it's a machine that scans the application for any mistakes or errors when we submit it. If your case is accepted, I believe you're good. Let's hope that part will come later when a person has to review everything. Just be prepared but I will say don't think too much about it. Any mistake or error, you will hear from them.

It will take around 5-6 months to get an approval from USCIS...then a wait at NVC...then you will pick up packets 3 &4 from the Embassy to get your interview date. The process is long but hang in there.

I just seen your California service center. You should have your approval quicker.
