Egyptian Visitor/Tourist Visa

Hello Everyone. Can someone please help me out? How difficult is it for a young Egyptian man to get a tourist visa to the USA to come visit me this summer? He is 22 and still in college and has every intention of returning to Egypt this fall.

Extremely difficult. He has to show strong ties to Egypt to overcome the presumption that he intends to immigrate if he is granted a visitor visa.

Has immediate family (wife and children) to return to?

These are the type things that show he will return to his country.

I would say let him try, I applied and got it (was single working male back then), I honestly told them why am going(spending the winter break with a lady friend of mine which is now my fiancée:)).

Hi there! I would say it does hurt to try. But he will have to prove strong ties to Egypt. Although it's not required but wouldn't hurt, you could always write a letter of invitation for him so if he does decide go through the process of trying to obtain a visiting visa, at least he can bring it with him to the interview. Again it's not required, but It may help.

If he does apply and gets denied, does that effect any future marriage based visa applications? We don't plan on getting married for at least a year or more yet. Also, Mahmoud, how long did the visa application process take? We were hoping he could visit over his summer break from school.

He will know the result in the interview and will receive the visa within a couple of weeks, however if he goes into Administrative processing it could take months.
