Removing Conditions Green Card- Permanent vs Mailing Address

Hi VJ Members,

I will be applying for ROC within few weeks. After coming to US, I lived with my in laws for few months and used their address as my permanent address. Now I live with my wife and a child in a different place but in the same city. Because my in laws own the house and they have lived in that house for many years, I feel safe about getting all my mail delivered there. However I do receive my utility bills and some other mail at my current address. I may have to use letters, bills etc addressed to my permanent address and current address to prove a bonafide relationship.

My question is will there be a problem in using two different addresses as a proof of bonafide relationship. Could I explain this USCIS on a separate sheet ?

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

In the form they will ask for your residential address and your mailing address, so what you should do put your inlaws address as your mailing address and your home address as your mailing address. Use a blank paper and explain why you used your inlaws address as your mailing address you will have to put your full name address and alien number on this note date and sign it and also put the page and the question number of which you needed extra sheet to explain.

Thanks appreciate it but you said in your comment 'put your inlaws address as your mailing address and your home address as your mailing address'. id you mean to say I should put my in laws address as Permanent address and my current apartment address as the Mailing Address?

What I meant to say was your inlaws address as your mailing address and your own home address as your home address. (we all know how auto correct act over smart lol)

Hi VJ Members,

I am little confused about few things mentioned in I-751 form.

1) Part 1 under Physical Address 16a. I have mentioned my permanent address which is my in laws address where I stayed for few months before moving to another apartment with my wife. I would like to use that as my permanent address. Is that ok?

2) Part 1 Mailing Address 17a. I have mentioned my apartment address where I moved last year. I would like to use this as a mailing address. Is that ok?

3) Part 3. Relationship 1a.I have mentioned my current address(apartment where I moved last year) as the address for the petitioning spouse. Is that ok? Even though spouse's permanent address is different. After finding a job me and my wife and our little daughter live in a an apartment which is different to our permanent address.

4) Part 4. Information about your children 4a.. For the address section for the child, I have mentioned the current address (apartment address). Is that ok?

5) Lastly my current apartment lease does not include my wife on the agreement. Is that going to be a problem?

Thanks in advance

hi

you will be confusing them, there is no consistency

where do you live with your wife and what proof do you have of bona fide marriage where you are currently living, that's your current address or permanent address

now, unless both of you receive mail and can prove that both of you receive everything at the other address, such as bills, joint bank account, car insurance, health insurance, to what address are you receiving all of that, taxes,

you need to prove that you all are living in one address and co mingling of finances and other proof

Hey,

Thanks for your response.

I have proof for both addresses. For current address I have;

1) Wife's Payslips have my current apartment address

2) Medical bill on my wife's name has my current apartment address

3) Our new born's birth certificate has my current apartment address

4) Hospital Documents (where our child was delivered) has my current apartment address

5) Lease agreement for the apartment has my name only

For permanent Address;

1) Our joint Bank Account has our permanent ( my in laws address)

2) Last year's W2 has our permanent ( my in laws address)

3) Health Insurance letter for all three of us has our permanent ( my in laws address)

4)My payslips have our permanent ( my in laws address)

I don't want to hide anything from USCIS and would like to inform them that although some of the documents have my permanent address but I reside with my family in another apartment. I do not want to change my permanent address because my in lawsown the house and they would not be moving from one place to the other like ourselves. So for important documents I would still keep my in laws address as my permanent address.

If there is anything of concern to you or if you have any advice foe me. Please do tell me.

Thanks.

You play with address matters you will regret. Law requires you to report address changes every time you move.

Thanks for your comment but your comment does not answer my query in anyway. If you have advice for me I am more than happy to act upon it.
