Hi. i recieved a npiw letter 5 months ago, and I'm getting a little stressed since i will have to renew my ead in a couple of months. Has anyone here gotten approved at the Miami field office lately??

Anyway, if you have received NPIW letter, don't count your local office is processing yours. My local office was in Kendall for biometric but I just found out over NPIW thread that it is not true. I received RFE on May 22, 2015 because my medical was expired due long wait and it came from local USCIS in Fairfax, Virginia. My case was never sit in Kendall. They just took my biometric there because it is the closest USCIS local office from my area.

Well, i haven't even gotten an rfe for them requiring a new medical, but i guess i should wait for it. Is it valid a year or? If so, it has definitely expired!!

How much was your medical here if i may ask?

They just approved my I-485 and received the welcome letter yesterday after waiting one year and 2 weeks from filing date. The total amount of my medical was $395. Please take a look on my signature. I have it breakdown for the price.

Yes, everyone received NPIW from NBC even my welcome letter though my medical was sent to Fairfax, Virginia. I thought mine was in Kendall too but after someone told me about the thread I was speechless. You should started calling them after 6 months passed from the date that stated on your NPIW.

Oh, you don't have to pay your EAD. All you need is a copy of your NOA-1 and included in your EAD package. Keep me posted!

Well, 6 months haven't passed yet, on august 18th 6 months have passed, but like i said, no rfe about a new medical.

I havr been waiting 9 months , sofar, so not as bad as you. But my last update was november 19th ? if i at least would get an rfe or something!! $395.. Damn...thats alot of money, but wont a health insurance cover some though?

I thought i read avout you having to pay to renew your ead, but i guess you had to do it also, waiting so long right?

No, you don't have to pay your renewal EAD. Just included a copy of your NOA-1 for I-485. The clinic does not accepted medical insurance. But you can call your insurance if they can reimbursed you after you done with it. Keep in mind, the RFE is not only about medical. Many people got RFEs for different things such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, affidavit of support, etc.

I swore won't renew my EAD after these people being rude to my husband at USCIS local office in Kendall. Because if I wanted to renew again it means long drive from Key West to Kendall, Miami, for biometric appointment to get EAD done (8 hours of total time to drive back and forth). I won't my husband suffered again.

That's happened to many applicants, probably they have lost it somewhere. You are lucky the status updates regularly, not mine definitely. .
