  1. Not something comfortable in the current political climate.
  2. I filled it online and do not remember having to provide that much (I certainly did not provide pictures, they simply messaged me that they would reuse the one on file/biometric was waived); Easiest/fastest thing ever for me as I got my new card in a few days. Follow @TBoneTX advice and do not overthink it. Simply follow the instructions. Wishing you a fast renewal.
  3. Immigration is already time consuming, that's one of the reasons why I opted to keep my maiden name. Socially, you're free to use any name you want, unless it's to do fraudulent activities. You can introduce yourself as whatever you want/the number of people who will see your IDs is limited. ETA: the Canadian consulate in NYC would know if they can update your passport to the name(s) on your marriage certificate. That's another place to inquire/they are aware of how things are done locally. Not a perfect solution, but seems easier than the birth certificate change.
  4. Depends on the province also. Québec does not allow spouses to change their last name when getting married. However, OP is probably from another province, or they'd know this already.
  5. Many things might ask for SSN, but it's not necessary required. For example, you could designate a foreigner as a beneficiary of your life insurance/financial accounts/pension, and they might never live in the US/get a SSN. You're still able to designate who you want to get the money.
  6. Yes, depends on the exact dates of visa being issued, and entry in the US. 90 days might not be there yet if they entered in the first months of 2024... Wishing OP the best of luck.
  7. Agree with others, keep it simple. Add evidence you added your wife as a beneficiary to your financial and insurance accounts, non proposal pictures, evidence of your visits.
  8. You want to ask your primary care doctor, or any other specialist you see, about the details of your illnesses. You'll have to disclose them at the exam. You can ask them to review the list of vaccines and see if you need any. Usually cheaper to get them before the medical exam. That would allow to get them over time, if that makes you more comfortable/with your health concerns.
  9. Forget about immigration, and think about it a minute... Your priority was not your marriage, or each other, in the last 10 years. You said so yourself in your initial message. Ten years is a long time. Why is immigrating suddenly important? Don't you want to spend some time together to see if you are actually able to be "married" first?
  10. I've been to Paris and back in a day, from Rennes, on the TGV. Much easier than driving. Probably not possible in a day with the medical exam, but driving is making it harder than it has to be. ♥️ Breizh
  11. He should reach out to the closest consulate. Options exist.
  12. Please fill your timeline: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=447501
  13. That is normal, there is usually ONE original, the other will be copies/certified copies/official copies [whatever the issuer calls them]
  14. Did you file for your children CRBAs? Were they denied?
