Congrats to all got interview dates.

Panicking a little bit because I might not be able to attend on ours. I heard we cant reschedule like a week or two weeks after. I wish I can exchange with someone here. bleh...

Not true. Once you get interview your case will go to embassy. Once there you can ask and see if they will reschedule you to earlier date. Later is never an issue. But 1 or 2 weeks no it isn't that long. A few days usually maybe a week after schedulign for your case to get to embassy.

Canada, UK Australia is one of the more accommodating. Sometimes..

Really?!?! When will our case get there? The status still say "at NVC"!!!

Not until you get an interview scheduled will status change. Once you get your Interview date and they ship you off If you keep an eye on it it will then change to "IN TRANSIT". Once it arrives at Embassy then it will change to READY. And you will see status date. Then and only then you can then communicate with embassy about changing your interview dates.

I got through to NVC last week but the rep just stuck to the script about the need to wait as slots come available for filling. Historically, from your sheet, I don't see anything that makes them laggards relative to the other embassies. The last VJ'er assigned an interview had a cc of 1/29, scheduled date of 2/5, and an interview of 3/18.

I was just listening on some news in Colombia where they were saying the the embassy was the busiest during May and June, and that last year during this time they had problems also with scheduling interviews so it may be this again that is holding us up. Hopefully we hear about our interview dates soon. Best luck to all of us : )

Congrats everyone on the new Canadian interviews! I got word that my interview date is May 11th for the Montreal consolate. In the letter they sent, it said to read the Montreal specific article here: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Supplemental/MTL%20-%20Montreal.pdf
In that article, it says the following:

BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW STEP 1: REGISTER FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLINE
Please visit https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/iv_servicesand follow instructions to register your NVC/KCC appointment online.

Does this mean we have to confirm our interviews? I tried going through the registration and it said no interview is available for my case number.

congrats....we all got that letter..see i knew there was more waiting than announced.

gotta wait for your paperwork to leave nvc, go 'in transit' to embassy and once it arrives at the embassy it changes to 'ready'. once its ready then you register for loomis...which will then dhl your passport back to you.

no need to confirm your interview. but you must book your medical asap.

We didn't want to miss out on something if we needed to confirm our interview. Didn't want to miss out on the last 14 months of waiting just because I didn't confirm the interview.

hang on, i might be retracting....

did you get your letter in the mail or email?

i ep'd so i didn't get that montreal.pdf....but got the p4 letter...and no where does it have that pdf?

your profile shows you are ir1'cr1...is this correct?

k-1 visa usually have to register and book at date, but not ir1-cr1....dates are automatically given to them....

i'm thinking your got a generic email, that might not suit your visa type.
