It seems that you two are not living together -

so (on interview day)

if you had two leases in the two cities IN BOTH OF YOUR NAMES

then

it woud have been a different path for the IO to take - as you two have proof of having a long-distance marriage inside the USA.

I not know what to tell you based on what you've written, sorry.

Was your husband present during the interview, or no ?

I'm sorry to hear that. You need to have proof that you are both married. Are you here in the US? Is he military and stationed away from home? You haven't given much information in order that others may understand and help you. A state ID with your name does not mean that your marriage is real. You need to show proof that you are living together (if he is not military and stationed away) and sharing assets such as bank account, health insurance, life insurance, joint tax returns, utility bills etc.

Getting an ID with your husband's name does not show a bona fide relationship. Even a marriage fraudster can do this very easily.

Absolutely no pictures from the court house wedding? No pictures from anything you did together? That would be unusual.

No mixing of finances. Another red flag.

Not living together. Another red flag.

Think about this logically in an American way. People get marry to live together and mix their fiances. You have done the exact opposite.

Does it look like a real marriage or is the marriage a convenience so you can live your separate life in the US?

Real marriage. Come to US. Live together. Share money. Take pictures together.

Fake marriage for green card. Come to US. Don't live together. Don't share money. Don't take pictures together. Live separate lives in different city. Only do things (like get ID with husband's name) to make it look like a real marriage.
