Just an update when we were waiting for our approval we had called to find out where our case was at, they said it was in the Chicago local office and when we sent out our RFE papers we submitted them to the Chicago office well last night we got our NOA2 and it's coming from the NBC. I believe this people have no clue on what they tell us.

Yes, the NOA2s have all been coming from the NBC.

Side note, my physical letter from mister durbin stated that chicago is currently working on sept and should be onto november by next month

Hi all,

This post does help release some of my stress...:) knowing that things are actually moving. I filed in Oct, 1st NOA on Oct 26 2012. So 3 weeks ago I called and spoke with a level 2 rep. I was told that today would be the day that I should hear something back..Well its 10:40 am here now, not sure if I will get something by the end of the day. But hopefully soon....

So quick question, I was reading earlier about contacting congressman apporach. How did you go about doing this? I am thinking to do the same if it makes sense.

Thanks!

This thread is for local chicago filers.

Your case was most likely then forwarded to NBC after California.

Call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 rep and get more info.

KDH, nothing for you yet?????

Not yet.

Hoping soooon.

I am getting antsy waiting. I know only fellow VJers can empathize. I called uscis again to make sure my case was sent to Chicago. Because I live closer to St Louis than Chicago my file could have been sent there. I was told my file was indeed sent to Chicago in January no actual date just in January. My priority date is November 30, 2012. So now I am wondering should I do an infopass or would that be a waste of a vacation day? Also a bit concerned that I have to send my husbands passport in with our tax return and it could take up to 60 days to get back - that makes me nervous - anyway I digress. What do you guys think about the infopass- I would have to take an entire day off work, money to get there and back is not bad my biggest concern is I would use a vacation day that could be put to much better use.
