We are bringing the following to our interview on Sept. 6th

1. We have canceled checks from our joint bank account to show how we pay the rent ( there isn't a lease agreement)

2. We have a joint bank account and will bring a statement

3. Electric/gas bill is in our names

4. Vespa insurance in our names

5. Phone bill in our names

Photos of the wedding ( we didn't have family wedding, it was a courthouse wedding)

6. post cards from his family in Paris

7. Card from my family congratulating us.

He is still looking for work, but I have recent check stubs

8. our original packet for the k1 visa and AOS packet

One or two copies of all of this?

Do we need more proof of our marriage?

Any other tips? thank you! xo

I think what you have should be fine. I actually doubt you need you need all the papers from the K-1 petition. Be sure to bring the originals of the important documents like marriage certificate and birth certificate. Items of that nature. Sometimes they ask to see the original. Also, be sure to have an extra copy of each original so they do not keep your original. Only let them keep a copy.

Wow do you really require that much evidence? I was hoping a picture or 2 would suffice.

If you are called for an AOS interview, then you need to provide evidence of your marriage. You should bring things such as proof of co-mingling, as in joint bank accounts, joint insurance, joint lease/mortgage, joint utility bills, and other things of that nature. Have a state ID or license yet? Showing those with the same address on it for each of you can prove you reside together. Pictures are just secondary evidence, but they do usually expect to see some from the wedding at least.

Revised document list:

--Driving permit ( his) and my drivers license have the same address

--Cancelled checks from our joint bank account for rent (copies)--there isn't a lease

--copy of our joint bank account

--Vespa motorscooter insurance both in our names

--copy of my credit card with his name as secondary user on the card

--postcards from his parents

--congratulations card from my parents on our wedding

--copy of marriage certificate

Trying to get a copy of our electric/gas bill ( this is taking forever) with our name on it.

I hope it's enough

Way enough, don't worry.

We only got our insurance cards, our joint account, our credit cards, and that was enough for the IO! I had pictures and email/chat logs just in case, but that was not useful.

I don't know... I think you should have a copy? Anyone else here know if you need an original birth certificate?

If you submitted a copy of an original, yes, you need the original for the interview.
