Dear all,

I know i read it somewhere here before.

But since I am swamped at work i dont have time to search around..

Can anyone tell me what documents i need along with I-134 ?

I know tax papers, recent paystubs, and also a letter of employment, it's basically the letter I am wondering about. what does it need to say on it?

position, income, when started, name, and for which company she works for?

anything else that i forgot about ? or is that it

I just went through all of this a few weeks ago too. I understand your nervousness. ))) This is the website that is governments instructions. www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf

This is from VJ.....Basically, your employer letter should state "To whom it may concern: (first name, last name) has been employed

full-time with the XYZ Company since 200_ as a (name of your job), and is an employee in good standing with an

annual salary of $XXXX. Signed, John Doe, Supervisor (or whatever title)" The letter should be on company

letterhead.

The above part can be found here.... www.visajourney.com/content/support

Mine was exactly like this and NO PROBLEMS.

Other dcouments: depends on how your are financially, you may need to show you have more money than what you make at your job. I went all out just to make sure. Bank statements, 401k statements, mortgage.

You do not need bank statements if your income is sufficient. The instructions say to include them, but most people don't and the majority of people don't have any issue. Proof of CURRENT income is more important, which is why the form specifically asks for it ("I derive an annual income of ________").

If in doubt, email the specific consulate and inquire. I was told exactly this.

You need to provide complete tax returns for the last 3 years (or 3 years of tax transcripts) + 3-6 months of paystubs + letter of employment (+ any info about assets, if your income isn't sufficient). Bank statements and evidence of assets are only needed if your income does not exceed the requirement listed in the poverty guidelines.

My letter of employment is on company letterhead and states my income (hourly wage + # of hours worked), position at company, start date, YTD income, that I'm in good standing (active employee) and signed by my HR manager. No sweat.

**Topic is Interview/Embassy-related and may be more appropriate in the US Embassy/Consulate Discussion Forum (rather than K-1 Process/Procedures); moving thread to correct forum.
