Don't forget that you must bring the chest x-rays to show the customs officer - at least that's what they told me when I did my x-rays.

...

That is what he told me as well. Which I found very amusing in a way, since when did the CBP become a doctor as well? How are you even supposed to pack them, at least mine is humongous and will not fit in my carry on.

ROC Packet delivered 2/24/2017 - GC Expiration 5/20/2017.

My doctor - Jan Arlestig at Sibyllekliniken - told me it was fine to roll them up, like when you buy posters. I made a joke to the customs agent about making cool lamps out of them. She was not amused. :P

Oh, they didn't give you a CD? They don't look at them anyway, I have no idea why you need to bring them.

The ones I got were...probably the size of two a4:s? Pretty darn big and cool-looking, if cumbersome to pack.

The copy needs to be stamped and signed. My fiancées were refused cause the copies were not stamped and signed by the court that they were true copies of the originals.

Are you moving it from Norway to the States? I think you might find that it's cheaper just to buy a new one in the States. Shipping got expensive quickly when shipping from Sweden. There's a wagon like that one available on ebay for $115 and it cost me $200 just to ship one moving box of stuff.

No, from the US to Norway. I'm asking here because I figure moving companies that move one way usually moves the other way as well, and I don't have anywhere else to ask. When I moved to the US I brought a single suitcase, now that we have a child, things are a little different.

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.
Blessed with a healthy baby boy, 08/19/2011! We get to keep our family together! Thank you! smile.png

I know that Iceland Air will bring things like that wagon for maybe $50 extra? So if you get 2 suitcases each, plus pay extra for more suitcases and then the fee for the sports equipment? That is how we did it.

I'd have no idea how we'd move back now - we have so much stuff, power tools, nice and of course heavy kitchen stuff.

The other option is those partial shipping containers? I know I had gotten a quote for door to door and also drop off and pick up at port for that, but it wasn't cheap.

Thanks for the tip on airlines! I will definitely ask, since that would be the easiest option by far.

Yeah, the partial shipping containers are just too much, especially when the biggest item we're moving is that wagon. (There's very sentimental reasons for bringing it, lol, trust me, I'd leave it if I could.)

I think it'd be easier, sometimes, if we were moving everything. Then we could just get a container and bring all our furniture and stuff. Sadly, we can't afford it, so we'll be selling all our stuff and moving with a suitcase each, and what we can bring of our son's possessions. Our lack of money is a big part of the reason why we're moving.

I did it sneaky and packed my ski bag (a large one) full of things and in that package ski+boot you can also have the boots in a big bag separate from the ski bag. That for me packed a lot of things that trip. However, as someone said earlier - just bring a couple of extra bags and you will probably fit loads of things.

We'll probably fit some extra things that can be packed flat in the Prampack, along with our stroller, but the wagon sadly does not fit in anything. XD Some of our son's toys are oddly shaped, and the few things we wish to bring are sadly quite bulky, even if they're not terribly big. The wagon is the biggest item we have though, and it's bulky to boot! Urgh. If the airline can accomodate it for a fee though, that looks to be our best bet. Thanks everyone!
