I left 9ja evening of 27th of March through Port Harcourt with Lufthansa. Had a 5hr layover in Frankfurt, Germany. Flight was a little delayed but I landed at LAX at 1:44pm on March 28th.
Went to customs after getting off the flight and stood in the noncitizens queue until it was my turn.
Officer took my passport and saw the visa, then requested the sealed envelope.
Officer: where are you going to?
Officer: oh you getting married?
Officer: What date?
Officer: where are you getting married?
He opened the envelope and bit his tongue trying to pronounce my last name 🤦ðŸ½â€â™‚ï¸. Then called another officer to ask him questions as if he wasn’t too familiar with how to process it. He then stamped my passport and signed and told me to be sure I do whatever I need to do within 90 days. Then congratulated me, told me good luck, and returned my passport to me. From there I went to claim my bags. |

Entry into Orlando was fabulous. Very quick, my luggage hadn’t even arrived and I was back waiting for it with a stamp in my passport - all activated. Very friendly staff, took about 10 minutes in all.😊 |

Were able to all go through the citizen line together. Officer asked a few questions to son-in-law, then referred us to secondary. im guessing they dont have the necessary stamps ready in the citizen line...? visas processed and stamped, they verrified our final address, and said have a nice day, welcome to the US. |

No Issues at all, Officer verified where I was staying and explained that I would receive my green card in the mail as well as my SSN. Stamped through right away. Took only a few minutes longer than usual. |
