We've been asked how we met, went through some questions from form I-485 and confirmed some of our info and address. The officer kept some photos from our wedding album and asked for our shared assets (we had both our cars' insurances with both our names on them, renters insurance and lease agreement with both our names). She gave me a paper as a reminder to remove conditions on the green card when it's time. 2019-09-25: Interview was scheduled 2019-10-30: Interview was completed and my case must be reviewed 2019-10-30: New card is being produced 2019-10-31: Case was approved 2019-11-01: New card was mailed to me 2019-11-04: Received NOA Approval notice in the mail 2019-11-06: Card was delivered to me by the post office | 2023-04-15

K1 | Atlanta GA | 2019-06-20 | 2019-06-24 | 2019-07-18 | 2019-10-30 | 2019-10-30 | Yes | No | The interview was scheduled at 12:05 P.M. My husband and I got there about 20 minutes before, went through a quick security check(similar to the one at the airport), we went to the reception desk and received a number. We took an elevator to a second floor. The man there directed us to the seats. After waiting for about 30 minutes we were called in by the officer. The whole interview wasn't as tough as many could imagine. It took about 30 minutes, half of that time was the officer typing things down on the computer. The officer asked a few questions back and forth between me and my husband. Questions to my husband: 1. When was wife born? 2. "Is that your signature, sir?" (while pointing on mine- wife's- signature at the end of I-485 form 3. Have you met your wife's family? 4. Have you visited her in Poland? 5. Wife's mother's name? 6. How did we meet? Questions to me: 1. Where was your husband born? 2. All the security questions from AOS form - I overstayed at one visit three weeks so I explained the circumstances - I also was denied visitors visa 3 times and I explained the circumstances P.S. none of this was the issue 3. Spell my husband's name? 4. Husband's parents' names? 5.Asked for my husband's passport to confirm he came to Poland to visit me. Honestly it was simple and quick, very friendly and not at all stressful. Later the officer asked if we brought any additional evidence. I handed him our joint health insurance, joint Amazon Prime Account, proof of being an authorized credit card user and a few(about 15) photos from our wedding, family reunion and selfies together, as well as most recent screenshots from our calls and texts The IO just stuck his hand out to me while saying: "Congratulations", informed me that my case was recommended for approval and when and how to apply for Renewal of Green Card. side note: on the Notice of Interview Results that I received at the end there was another applicant's name put in by mistake and there was correct Anumber (mine) but it didn't cause any problems. I got the approval notice in the mail 4 days later. Exactly one week from my interview I had the Green Card in my hands. Little tip: If you don'y get any updates from USCIS go on Emma chat to talk to representative. It's possible they will provide you with the tracking number for your card. It's what happened in my case.Only 30 minutes after I received the card my status changed to "My card was delivered" and then a day later it changed to "My card was mailed". Good luck everyone and I hope this post is helpful. | 2019-11-09
