    Questions: who becomes president if the president can no longer serve, who is my house representative, what is one of the longest rivers, what is the capital of Colorado, name of the anthem, who lived in America before the Europeans arrived.

    Documents: nothing

    She asked me when I traveled outside the USA for the last time but I couldn't recall it immediately. Wanted to check my papers but she said that if it wasn't written on a post-it I shouldn't bother...

    that was enough, no city will hand out the original one.
    And translation is only needed when you want to register your marriage in the USA

    I don't mean to sound harsh, but it sounds like you're blaming USCIS for not accommodating your own fixed schedule. They process far too many petitions to be that accommodating.
    I don't know why you got an RFE. Most RFE's are because the petitioner either forgot something, or the evidence they submitted wasn't enough to convince the adjudicator. It's impossible to compile a list of every possible thing they could ask for because it changes dramatically from one case to another. The guides here tell you the essential elements that comprise a complete petition package, but it's purposefully vague on some of the evidence. It would be pointless, for example, to tell everyone they absolutely needed copies of passport pages with entry/exit stamps since many people (those with Canadian fiance's, for example) won't have those. Likewise, a birth certificate isn't proof of citizenship for someone who became a citizen through naturalization.
    As "full of fluff" as the pinned RFE thread is, it's still useful. A list of scanned RFE's isn't much good unless you know what the petitioner provided in response, and whether or not it was successful. You'd also need to know specifics about what the petitioner originally submitted, and their particular circumstances. Some people are asked for things that the overwhelming majority wouldn't be asked for because they have a unique situation.
    Anyway, it's not the fault of USCIS that your fiance has a firm schedule in his home country that overlaps the immigration process. It's also not their fault that your biological clock is ticking away. You'll find the whole process dramatically less stressful if you just presume that each milestone in the immigration process will happen in it's own time, and be prepared to alter your plans accordingly as you pass each milestone. For example, if he's ready to respond to packet 3 but it's obvious he won't be able to complete AOS before he needs to return for his fall semester then notify the consulate that you'd like them to extend the approval of the petition and give you more time. You can put off the interview this way for up to a year. That way, he won't be interviewing for the visa until he's ready to come to the US and stay here.
    Also, he shouldn't return for a four month semester using AP. You could be scheduled for an AOS interview, and he'd have to return to the US for the interview or risk abandoning his adjustment of status with no visa to reenter the US. Many people aren't approved at the interview, and have to wait days, weeks, or even months for a decision. It would be risky to leave the US during this time because the AP will be canceled when a decision is made on the AOS. A K1 shouldn't leave the US with an approved AP unless their schedule is flexible enough that they can drop whatever they're doing and return to the US.

    Bill, it sounds like you're the problem.
    As a bartender, she will speak with customers, and they will hit on her. This is what life is like for every female bartender. You have to trust your wife to say no. If she didn't tell you about being hit on, perhaps you should be more suspicious. If she was a bartender in Thailand, and she did more than flirt with customers, you knew precisely what you were getting into.
    If she were using you, she'd stay quiet until her status was solid, then leave you the day after she didn't need you. Instead, she's complaining loudly about the lifestyle and you. This would indicate that she did come with honorable intentions. She's also paying for you. Why would she do it if she didn't like you? She doesn't want to be here except for you.
    Looking at it from her side, she's in a land she dislikes, paying for a jealous, deadbeat husband who's plotting to deport her.
    You are the issue. You married a wife. You didn't buy an indentured servant. Educate yourself, get a job, and be worthy of your wife. All you have are jealous suspicions that would drive any woman into the arms of another.

    They did not mess up. You did. The instructions tell you what documents are needed to file along with the I-129F. You failed to read and follow the form instructions. USCIS is not required to send you an RFE. You were missing everything, not just 1 or 2 things that would lead them to send an RFE before approving your petition. I have seen others outright denied for not sending in anything but the form and the fee. This is nothing new. They took the fee, processed your petition and denied you for having zero documents and evidence.
    Don't bother with the motion to reopen. You cannot reopen the case and win. You were correctly denied. It will cost you more money and time to go through all that. You need to file a new petition, making sure to read the form instructions that you can download directly from the USCIS website where you download all the current forms. Read the guides here as well. This will inform you of everything needed to send with the petition and there are even sample forms and letters here to help you. You will have to pay again and wait your turn in line again. There is no way around this.

    Why? You have listed no good reasons. All you did was make up some statistics.
    I'm sorry, you have to realize you're a part of a forum full of people still going through the process and still finding it very difficult, stressful and emotionally draining. To have someone who is finished come on and say for no good reason that the process should be made even MORE difficult is a bit of a slap in the face, I imagine.

    Hi, I was going crazy calling NVC everyday and I had given up when I had saw this on a post from another person and decided to give it a try. I went to www.dhl.com clicked Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, on this page you add your search info..You change the day and month to what you think your's might have left NVC
    EXAMPLE:
    * Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A
    * Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011
    * Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011
    Account Number - Leave this blank
    Shipment Destination: Egypt / You Choose your Country
    The day I was trying this I saw a package had left for Egypt. I thought could that be our's? I called the NVC and I was told our package had gone out. The one I had saw was our's I was so happy. I just checked our's it's at the Sorting Center in Egypt now, it's moving fast
    Someone with the example date I made up above for the country of Egypt has a package going to Egypt now as you will see if you try this.
    The best of luck to everyone

    Stefaan_Leslie reacted to Kathryn41 in How can I delete my account from VJ?
    I am responding here as a Global Moderator:
    First, if you wish to close your account, as rsn advised you need to contact Captain Ewok at the listed link. It is also at the bottom of every page under 'contact us'. It may take a few days to accomplish.
    Second, VJ members did indeed understand your question - at least the one you wrote. You asked what documents your mother needs to bring with her when she arrives on a tourist visa so you can file the I-130 and the I-485 while she is here. This is the question you asked. Did you mean to ask something different? If so, you did not.
    Third, VJ members gave you the only answer that they are allowed to give you under the Terms of Service for Visa Journey - that there are no documents your mother needs to bring with her to the US as what you are proposing is immigration fraud. You are knowingly trying to use a non-immigrant visa for the purposes of immigration.

    http://www.visajourn...m/content/terms
    Immigration fraud is the deliberate use of a visa issued for one purpose as a means to bypass the more difficult to obtain legal visa. Your mother is entering as a tourist on a non-immigrant visitor visa, not to visit and return home but to immigrate to the US. The tourist visa is for the express purpose of visiting only and returning home at the expiration of the visa. Planning to enter on a tourist visa and remain in the US is straight forward visa fraud. She is lying about her intent to immigration - and the consequences of misrepresentation include up to a life-time ban from entering the US. Is this what you want for your mother? To render her inadmissible to the US for the rest of her life, when you have recourse to a legal process that will allow her to move to the US?
    Do people apply to adjust status and remain in the US from a visitor's visa? Yes. They are allowed to do so as long as they had no intent to do so upon entry to the US. What makes it illegal is to enter with the intention of remaining - immigrating - in the US. Your question clearly states that there is intent to remain in the US upon entry. You are asking for information about what documents she needs to make sure she has - because she would not normally have them with her as a visitor - so she won't have to leave the US and can remain as an immigrant. That is asking for advice about how to commit visa fraud and as noted in the above TOS, it is a clear violation of both the laws of the US and the TOS for Visa Journey.
    As per the TOS I am now going to remove both of your other threads - the second of which further violates TOS as it restarts a thread closed for TOS violations - and I am closing this thread to further discussion as you have the information you need and there is nothing more to be discussed.
