A black bear raiding garbage at a home in South Anchorage on Halloween night -- as kids were going door-to-door trick-or-treating -- was shot and killed out of concern for the kids' safety, according to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Officials said trick-or-treaters were never in immediate danger, though the animal, which was drawn to a pile of garbage in the driveway of a home in the 4800 block of Zenith Street, refused to leave when police and wildlife officials tried to chase it away into nearby Hillside Park. Equivelance is off there mate. It's a film, the only way to know what sort of film it is is to watch it.

Just because the title has 'porno' in it, doesn't mean anything in the content is going to have porn in it. You can't 'smell' porn.

Like I said - my complete lack of desire to see this movie is because it looks like a dumb ###### movie (like 99% of everything else coming out of Hollywood). It has nothing to do with "porno" being in the title.

has anyone actually seen the movie? i saw the previews and it wasn't really looking "ban" worthy. also, if you're outraged that these theaters chose not to show the film then tell them by not going to them EVER again.

But to be fair, I don't really go to the movies anymore. The prices are just too high, and the audiences are just too rude. Last two movies I saw were the latest Indy Jones movie and Clonewars - and both sucked. Other than those two - I can't remember the last movie I went to see. I saw that 10000BC movie. It sucked too.

Generally speaking, today's movies suck - and they're too expensive. We can watch old sucky movies at home for 99 cents. It costs $20 and up to see them in the theater. No thanks (:

The coldest summer ever? You might be looking at it, weather folks say. Right now the so-called summer of ‘08 is on pace to produce the fewest days ever recorded in which the temperature in Anchorage managed to reach 65 degrees.

I hate that global warming.

I agree that citizenship by birth should be eliminated. You should only be born a citizen if you are the child of one or more people who are citizens. No more anchor babies!!! Even better, to gain citizenship, even if born of two parents who are citizens, you should be required to perform public service of some kind. Military, civil, or otherwise. The more useful the service, the faster the path to citizenship.

It's been tried in Germany. It doesn't work. You basically get a class of second class citizens. For example there were third generation turks born in Germany who had no citizenship, rights, etc... You would essentially create the same mess here.

So an old lady voted for a black man. A socialist at that. Greeaaaaaaaaat. Honestly - can we say anyone is surprised? Now - if she had voted for McCain, that would be semi-newsworthy.
