I never said he was automatically white - or even white at all. Go back and look at the OP. I asked that given heritage, isn't it just as accurate to call him white as it is black?
So...you judge a book by its cover - and disregard his white heritage to boot. Nice.Hmmm....Well to the topic, I would say he's black b/c his skin tone is black.
No there's a pretty racist assertion. "White people can't stand a black president, so they will try to kill him". Nice.Another thing is that Obama will be a high risk President due to this reason alone. He will encounter more assasination attempts on him compared to his predecessor.Frankly, I think it's racist to assume that because someone doesn't fit your stereotyped view of "black" that he's automatically white.

Not sure how you got that idea.So because he was raised by a white family, he lost his blackness? -

I made $20 (:

Speak for yourself. I'm pink inside.we're all black inside.. -
Obama is half-white. His father, who was black, abandoned him and his mother when he was about two years old. He lived with his white mother and white grandparents. This being the case, if he is half black and half white - isn't it just as accurate to call his a white president as it is to call him a black president?

Wow. Someone clearly has no idea of how politics in Alaska work (:Sarah Palin is toast. History. Her political career is over. -
It's just wrong to give a concession speech while polls are STILL OPEN - especially when you use the phrase, "the American people have spoken". No, only SOME of them have spoken - others are still out voting.
He could have at least had the decency to wait until ALL of the polls have closed.
-
But they will project the winner over all, with polls still open. So what's the difference?CNN does not project a winner in any state until all polls have closed in that state. How nice.
-
So the project the winner before all of the polls have even closed. How nice.
-
I wouldn't mind being stuck IN Palin - but not with her.
-
CNN is now projecting Obama has won it all - 297 and counting.
-
Yeah - tonight is a good night for everyone to drown their miseries.
-
...or at least conceding (:3 minutes and I'm sure they're all going to project Obama the winner.Surely McCain seceding soon to follow.
Polls are still open for another hour in Alaska. (:
-
Alaska lost. We're going to be stuck with Palin for another 2 years - at least.
Although - if Ted Stevens gets elected to the Senate, and later booted out, Palin will almost certainly run for his seat in the special election and will most likely get it. Then we can be rid of her ###.
-
Yes, I know - one reason why we should secede.
I bet he wins Alaska.Right now there's no fvcking way McCain can win any of the west coast states on top of Hawaii. That's great. You guys don't count.
No. I think she should become a special aide to McCain or something and stay in DC.You ready to welcome back Sarah Palin? -

Me. Definitely. I hope I never hear or see the term again after today.
Fat chance though ):

Around here - I know it will always take 5-10 minutes to vote, no matter what. It's just the nature of the place. The polling location is also 5 minutes or less from my house - so it's no big deal all the way around. But if I thought had to wait in line more than 20 minutes, I would definitely remote vote.
-
No, I still vote against the initiative, no matter what it says.So all they have to do is reverse the question and you will end up voting for them.
I don't care about gay marriage one way or the other. Make it legal. Make it illegal. Makes no difference to me.Which they have already done - if you're *against* Proposition 8, you're *for* gay marriage. -
So, here's the thing I can't figure out - for the people where there are long lines and such bound to be - why not vote early or absentee?? What possible incentive can there be?
-
Tom who?She is a mean #######, poor Tom is gonna get a can of whoopass tonight. Not forgetting that's the only thing he is going to "get" in months, she is going to be sour man -
You'd think the woolly mammoth people would talk to the global warming people and figure out that if they bring the woolly mammoth back, it will just go extinct again.
-
Yeah, it's a lot easier when you vote against everything (:
Is Obama really our first black president?
