I said that given heritage, it is just as accurate to call him white as it is black.

Frankly, I think it's racist to assume that because someone doesn't fit your stereotyped view of "black" that he's automatically white.

Obama is half-white. His father, who was black, abandoned him and his mother when he was about two years old. He lived with his white mother and white grandparents. This being the case, if he is half black and half white - isn't it just as accurate to call his a white president as it is to call him a black president?

It's just wrong to give a concession speech while polls are STILL OPEN - especially when you use the phrase, "the American people have spoken". No, only SOME of them have spoken - others are still out voting.

He could have at least had the decency to wait until ALL of the polls have closed.

CNN does not project a winner in any state until all polls have closed in that state.

Alaska lost. We're going to be stuck with Palin for another 2 years - at least.

Although - if Ted Stevens gets elected to the Senate, and later booted out, Palin will almost certainly run for his seat in the special election and will most likely get it. Then we can be rid of her ###.

Right now there's no fvcking way McCain can win any of the west coast states on top of Hawaii.

Around here - I know it will always take 5-10 minutes to vote, no matter what. It's just the nature of the place. The polling location is also 5 minutes or less from my house - so it's no big deal all the way around. But if I thought had to wait in line more than 20 minutes, I would definitely remote vote.

So all they have to do is reverse the question and you will end up voting for them.

Which they have already done - if you're *against* Proposition 8, you're *for* gay marriage.

So, here's the thing I can't figure out - for the people where there are long lines and such bound to be - why not vote early or absentee?? What possible incentive can there be?
