I'm pretty sure the OP feels bad enough as it is, but thanks for driving that point home!
Yes, we get it. Their mistake. They should have read the instructions better. (Same with me and my petition.) Okay, good, now that we've established that... how about a response about their questions?
Oh, to the OP, I had emailed the Service Center about this and asked if I could send more info in. They said to just mail it to the address on the NoA1. HOWEVER, if you do that, only send copies. Best case scenario is it's matched up to your original petition. Worst case is that it's not matched up, and you're out the $5 it took to mail it there. Worth a shot. Just do it with the expectation that it'll get lost and won't make it to your petition. If it does, then bonus!
At this point though, other than that, there really isn't anything you can do but wait for their response, which might come in 5 months.

Im with dogspot on this. Besides... isn't it hard to 'do our own research' when we can't get any information from the source? (USCIS) If we don't ask them directly, we run the risk of being completely misinformed by people on forums.

I have done this exact same thing... I have heard many say "You will get an RFE" and I have heard others say "I did this, waited five months, and hen was denied and had to completely refile." I have not yet heard anything about my situation yet, so I am really hoping for an RFE.
When I know, I can PM you with the outcome so you know what to expect. I hope for RFEs for us both instead of a denial!!

Having your file 'touched' really isn't a cause for concern. Even when your case is moved from one desk to another, it's barcode can be scanned, resulting in a 'touch'. Some cases are touched a lot. Others are not. (Mine hasn't been since 9/17.)
You won't get far when you call them. Unfortunately, they rarely have correct information. Sometimes people call and they don't even have an updated status on a case. Your call will probably not get you very far. (So if you're lazy like me, you don't bother.)

Oh true. I see what ya mean. And yeah, Australia is so nice. I want to go back. Anything's better than the winter here!!
Lets hope our petitions get approved soon!

Why would it matter when Police Checks are good for one year?

The place you mail your petition is not the Texas Service Center. It is the Texas Lockbox. Two completely different things. One is a service center and the other is a place where they accept mail and route it to the proper service center.
Do a search to see what service center serves your State. Put that address.

Milushka, it is your fourth month. Not your fifth.
From Sept 15th.. to October, November, December, and January. Four months. I'd know cause my NoA1 was the day before yours!

As any government office, I'm sure the Service Centers are closed on the weekends.
. I do wish there were some progress on the weekends, too, though!!

Yes, it is legal to carry two passports. Dual citizenship is legal.
However, the US does not 'recognize' dual citizenship. In the eyes of the US, you are only a US citizen.
You should include pages of that passport as 'proof of having met within last two years', and include your birth certificate or naturalization certificate as 'proof of citizenship.'

unless you got a service number from a service request filed by one of the phone support people and it has been 30days from the time the service request was issued, they will ignore those emails.
Typically, but not always true. I did not offer a service request number or anything, and they answered my email.

I believe there are parts of the FAQs that already answer this.

USCIS Service Centers
If you contacted the National Customer Service Center with a case-related inquiry and more than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response, you may email the appropriate USCIS Service Center with your inquiry:
* California Service Center: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov
* Vermont Service Center: vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov
* Nebraska Service Center: ncscfollowup.nsc@dhs.gov
* Texas Service Center: tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov
If you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the Service Center, you may contact the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov.
See the Customer Tools box to the left for additional resources available online.
Taken from this awful link which probably won't work: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=ddce0b89284a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=ddce0b89284a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

So why can't the government work more than twice as fast...
I think you answered yourself with the fifth word of your own question.

Can we have some English posts so that we know what's going on? (I think that's what private messages are for.)
-
That is their auto response. Not an actual reply.

I emailed the CSC and asked this. They said to just mail whatever I want to the address given on the NOA1. I figure, if it gets matched up with my original paperwork, then yay! If not, then I'm only out the amount of money it took to mail it. So I mailed it anyway.

Well said, Kimo3.

I feel rather... forgotten.

... but admit to being surprised by such ugliness on a forum that is intended to support each other. I don't understand why.
First, congrats!
Second, I'm wondering why anyone would expect anything less from a mostly-anonymous internet forum. Being hidden behind a computer screen tends to bring out the worst in people. It's easy to be a jerk when not dealing 'face-to-face' with people.

Would be a great Valentine's Day gift!
Course, if it comes sooner, I won't complain!

So I'm still kind of planning a completely new packet in case I am forced to refile. I'd like to have it all ready to go so I can mail it out the day I get the denial letter in the mail. (IF I get a denial).
In the guides, it says to include a Proof of Name Change if the name is different on relevant documents. I was married years and years ago. When I divorced, I never bothered to change my name back. (It was a pain to do it, so I didn't bother.)
The name on all the documents is the same, except for my birth certificate. That has my maiden name, obviously. Do I need to include proof that I was married before and that's why the name changed? (I mean, the are getting the divorce papers, so it's obvious I was married, and my last name matched my ex husband's.)

If you guys don't like each other's posts, don't read them.
And don't claim that the people that think a lot of the complainers need to 'suck it up' already have their loved one here. I, for one, do not. I just think there are more useful things to do with your time than complain on a 'mostly' anonymous Web forum. It won't hurry your case along, and won't do much else than create an environment that allows you to wallow in negative feelings.

Yeah, only send in copies. Worst that could happen is it'll never make it to your petition, but then you're only out the postage.
Like my situation, send in copies, expect it wont get there.. but you never know. Maybe you'll be surprised. Expect the worst, but hope for the best, right?
K-1 Application Sent Back To USCIS
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

First thing, I'd suggest turning down your font.
Second, if you want to completely start over again, you could write a letter to USCIS asking the first petition to be withdrawn. Or, wait for someone much more knowledgeable with this stage to come along and help.
