  1. Good processing stories? Okay, here's one. Back when I filed my I-129F, I misunderstood the directions. I send just the I-129F form and the fee. I did not send any evidence of having met, proof of citizenship, or even the G325 Biographical Data. They 'accepted' my petition anyway.

In November, I found this site. I started to panic since I now realized everything I was supposed to send. I started a post here, and everyone who had done the same exact mistake as I had.. they had all waited 5 months and then been denied. Not an RFE, but an actual denial. They were forced to file again.

So I was expecting a denial. At BEST, I was expecting an RFE. There is no way they would be able to approve my petition since it was so incomplete. All phone calls were met with more questions, and I never could get an answer I was happy with. "Just wait and we will request more evidence from you" is what they told me. "But everyone that has done the same has been denied. No RFE." I would say. "Well, then you might need to reapply, but you have to wait until Feb to find out if you get an RFE or are denied."

I put together all the information they needed, and attached a copy of my NoA1. I made a copy of the whole packet, and mailed it to the Service Center, with the hopes it would be put with my original petition. After that, I got no confirmation by mail, phone, and my case still hadn't been touched since mid-September.

However, a few days ago, I got my email and text message approvals. My only idea is that my paperwork was matched to the original petition, since there is no way I'd avoid a denial or RFE otherwise.

So with everyone all upset about the 'service' from USCIS, I have to say... Yes, the wait sucks. But in those walls, there are some people that actually care about the petitioners and their lives. (Otherwise they would have just thrown my packet out since it was not in response to an RFE.)

And there you have it: An actual GOOD processing story. :)

  2. No no, what I was wondering was... couldn't he go in and just get fingerprinted? He says he got "Federal NZ and federal Australian" police checks. If he just needs to add fingerprints to it, does he have to completely redo the whole thing? Or can he just get fingerprinted and use the police certificates he already has?

Just doesn't really make sense to have to do the whole print out and background check police check again if all he is missing is the fingerprint part of it. What do you guys think?

I'm having him take his police certificates in and get fingerprinted... and ask them while he is there. But is there a place I can call to check on this? Maybe the Sydney Consulate?

  3. You guys are so cheery that it kind of makes me half wish I were a Dec filer!

I am currently trying to figure out if a previously requested Police check would be okay if he just went in to get fingerprinted. Or if he needs to get fingerprinted and get a new Police check.

But I've got lots of time, as we haven't even received our NoA2 hard copy yet!

How are all you guys doing over here? Enjoying the fact you're over halfway there? :)

  4. So Vanessa, I've got a question. There were police checks done for Australia back when there was a work visa being pursued. But plans changed and the K1 is what we're doing.

Are we able to use those Police checks for this? Or do we have to get them again? I don't believe the first one for the work visa required fingerprints.

I'm really hoping we can use these. Otherwise, how long do the police checks take for Australia and New Zealand?

  5. It's taking about 5 months. (Give or take a little) After that time if it's approved, they will send it to the US Embassy in Egypt then.

You're going to have to be a little patient cause stressing yourself out about "what ifs" is going to make you ill! Don't worry, it'll all work out! You've got plenty of time before papers are even sent to Egypt. Hang in there! :)

  6. Hi kiwibird! Congratulations on your approval. I also fear that I will get a RFE because I did not send a copy of my passport but your story gives me hope. Congratulations again and good luck on the next step of your journey.

    Have hope! It's possible!

Did you include any evidence of having met? If not, you could always try mailing a copy of your passport to your Service Center with a copy of your NoA1 on top. Like my situation: It's worth a shot! :)

  7. Yup, got a text and email today at 5:00pm! I was floored. I started crying and hugged the random stranger next to me. (He was shocked, but then hugged me back.) :)

I was dead set that we were going to get an RFE since I only sent in the form and fee at first. I did mail another packet of papers in early January, but got no confirmation it was ever matched up to my petition. It must have been though, because there is no way for an approval without an RFE if I were not matched up.

I am beyond speechless right now about it! :)

Go go CSC! More approvals, please! Share the wealth!

  8. Q1 Is it possible to get the NOA2 from CSC in less than 5 months? Has anyone experience this?

Q2 I've received NOA1, but when i do my case status check online, it cannot be found?? (maybe I should give it more time, its only been 2 weeks).

Q3. Do I send my i-134,tax return ect.. to my fiance when she received package 3? or do i send it to?

    thanks for replying.

    Q1: Yes

    Q2: Yes

Q3: I'm sending mine ASAP now that I got notice of our NoA2. I would rather it get there before the interview is scheduled so that we aren't waiting for it to get there! :)
