    san diego got a reaction from C-ma'am in Dennied under 212 a 6 c 1 !! DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROVE I DIDN'T DO IT!
It is taken out of context. I did not say that you are not decent. However, I feel that people taking legal route like the ones applying for K1 and CR1 from EU and UK are more decent and honest.. yes. And what I really meant is that there are more good people that do not commit crime or immigration fraud then illegal immigrants and criminals respectively. Nobody would judge you if you didn't start by saying that you were treated unfair by USCIS. In fact you were treated fair: you got caught. This is your business how you want to carry your life but don't say this is unfair if you get caught in illegal behaviour... Just accept it and move on with doing right from now going forward per VJers advice rather then trying to defend your prior illegal behaviour...

I think you are mixing several topics here, so let's address one-by-one:
    1) In your initial post and several other ones you keep stating that this is unfair what happened to you and your main argument is that other people doing this too.
    2) What to do next.
You need to separate these topics. People react to both of them and react fairly.
    1) Let's start with the 2nd topic: what to do? It is answered: you need a really good lawyer to apply for waiver. End of conversation. You committed inadmissible situation and you have to deal with this. You may be able to deal with this or not but this is currently the only way.
    2) You keep saying that this is unfair. And I state as well as other people do: THIS IS ABSOLUTELY 100% FAIR. This is absolutely false argument that if there are other illegals that get away with this you should be able to get away with this too. There are criminals that get away with murder or theft or robbery. This does not make it right from everyone else to commit a crime. This is just an analogy to explain why your argument is 100% false. There are more decent people that chose legal route. You will see 100's of VJ members here from EU and Canada that could enter on Visa Waiver program and stay and adjust status. They rather chose the legal, honest route. Everyone here misses their spouses/fiancees. Look at couples from Morocco that fight to be together for years and yet choosing legal route. While my fiancee and I were waiting for K1 approval she came to Tijuana, Mexico all the way from Russia for 4 months. I rented apartment and commuted to work in San Diego every day waking up 3 am in the morning. We also chose legal route. Why are you different? So all it is you are suffering from consequences of trying to take short cuts. I do not feel you will find a lot of sympathy here considering that people suffered enough here to be with their loved ones without taking hort cuts. You are no he only one. The best we can do is give advice per first part but do not expect people being sympathetic with you cry about being unfairly treated.

People, it is irrelevant what "he should of", "would of" "ethical" "unethical". What matters what can he do know? It is pointless to go the the attorney. Medicaid will never let you get away without paying even if it was their fault. And the reason for it is that they would never want to set precedent that they let someone (anyone) slide. If you are ineligible they will make you pay back. Period. Bankruptcy will not help because this is now federal debt. The best thing you can is work-out most favorable payment schedule and start paying back. And it does not matter who is right or who is wrong. Life is unfair and you have to deal with that. Federal government can truly turn your life into the nightmare if you don't: they will follow you, harass you, follow you paychecks, you name it. They will collect their money, o just do what people advising you.

I do not think you got screwed. To the contrary. If you did not get Medicaid you would pay out of pocket anyway, right? Now you will just pay back the same money, and probably even less since Medicaid rates are lower. You can even pay probably over period of time. She was already pregnant so it does not make any difference in your case. Correct me if I am wrong.

I disagree with OP in some way and agree somewhat at the same time. yes, K1 is not to test drive. Yes, this is awful to bring someone and change your mind. HOWEVER! we do not know the reason for "changing mind". MOst of the time K1 visa holder complains that heir fiance changed his/her mind. This is very one-sided. Often times (notice!) when K1 visa holder complains about fiance(ee) changing mind they lso ask "can I marry someone else to stay?". Does it tell you something? I bet you, 90% of the time USC changes his/her mind BECAUSE they realize that K1 holder's intent is purely immigration purposes. There are exceptions, obviously. But I would say this is a rule. Stop blaming USC for being smart and recognizing obvious things early enough!

As usual with polls I do not go along but only vote because I cannot answer unless I do. That sucks.
The concept of the poverty level is preposterous and should be eliminated entirely immediately.
The US government does not care if you live in a refrigerator box. The purpose is not to "be sure you can support your family" the purpose is to be able to sue you to be reimbursed if your immigrant family becomes a public charge. As usual this requires affirmative (expensive) legal action and they rarely do it, meanwhile creating a situation for divorce attorneys to suck up on. Flawed concept for immigrants which have a stated "sponsor" willing to accept the responsibility for them
Eliminate the I-864 and I-134 for family based visas and simply make it a law that the immigrants who came under these circumstances CANNOT receive any welfare benefits until they become citizens. Done.

It is hard to be tolerant when muslims denounce any othre religion. It is hard to be tolerant when they destroy buddha statue and yet demand respect to their religion not respecting other religions. It is hard to be tolerant when they blow up buildings in US, buses with children in Israel and trains with peaceful people in Spain, and all in the name of the Allah. Why it is especially hard to be tolerant is while minority actually do terrorist acts, majority condone it and cheer. It is hard to tolerate palestinians that cheered on the streets when 9/11 happened. We were tolerant for waaay too long. We refuse to be tr4eated like ####### while treating the ones that treat us like this with respect. I do believe that there are nice muslims. They are just in minority and this is the fact.

I agree with previous posters, especially JustBob:
    1) What % of terrorists are not muslim??
    2) If you consider 9/11: while only few participated, vast majority and crowds on the streets of the muslim world cheered. Is this normal? Is this a sign of well-adjusted society??
    3) If you take terrorist acts on US soil, or Russia, or Europe or Israel, how many of them are not muslim-related?? 1 out of 100??
    4) If you ask on muslim country streets if they like americans, how many of them will answer "yes"?
If you answered the questions above, tell me if there is a reason for a judeo-christian individual sympathize with Muslims??
