  9. Your criminal history is fair game for a CO to ask the beneficiary about at a visa interview. If the beneficiary is or appears to be unaware, that may give the CO grounds to deny the visa. As for the offense itself, it's not a barrier to petition approval unless the offense falls under the Adam Walsh Act (and that deals with sex crimes).

If your fiancée does not currently have a birth certificate, she'll need to go to the notary office (公证处) that has jurisdiction over her household registration and obtain a notarial birth certificate. If she has to jump through hoops to obtain one, so be it because this certificate will be mandatory.
