  1. I am older than my husband by 9 years . We haven't had our AOS interview yet, but what is age....

Evidence of Relationship will look for Passport stamps and more official government things than phone calls ect...

I had gotten RFE'd for Evidence of Relationship because I had only included phone bills and nothing officially government...

Once we submitted passport evidence we were over the hurdle...

LOL: Yep went to the doctor today and got the annual lecture on being overweight according the The Standards out there,, yet again I stressed to her, I'm healthy and I am probably more likely to get killed on the freeway then from eating too many hamburgers. I also hike like crazy and enjoy weight lifting.

Maybe we should have ethnic weight charts of course I am from German background did you ever see a thin German farm girl, muscular and big to carry the plow around on the farm, plus my husband is used to old fashioned Austrian cooking keeps me from having to starve to death on salads every night..

Doctor's are trying to help, but they need to be asked about their own health too...

  3. I am currently reading Memoirs of a Geisha... much better than the movie version... Although watch the movie and then read the book because you will understand the life of a Geisha better. I saw the movie first and thought #######, but the book explains the life style so much better...

    Happy Reading,

  4. I went to my bank and asked for my full account history, when I opened the account and how much was an average kept in the account... I also had them sign and document that it was a real bank statement.

I also got all the tax forms noterized as they were a true copy of what I had filed with the government as well as the Affidavit of Support. The more you show that you are not trying to fraud the government and you are sincere in your support of your finace' the better.

  5. Yes, the church wedding is fun and exciting.... but get married ASAP even if it's at the Justice of the Peace.

You can be legally married in the eyes of the State and US Government and then later get married in front of all the world in Church. I don't know if the Catholic Church would frown on that , but I would just do it...

We had a small civil service in November and then had our own wedding in Feb. that I wrote and created, since we wanted to do something a little bigger than just the JP...

  6. Let's see if I can remember all the details , we did get a notification that our application reached NVC, then on to Vancouver. Anton recieved the next bunch of paper work to gather, medical, police certificates, my tax statements ect. There is a 90 day limit to gather all the information after you are approved before submitting it all to the consulate in order to get your interview.

The faster you get it done the faster you get your interview....

    Good Luck

  7. How about the Troggs, Love is all Around ,, from the Love Actually movie and Three Weddings and A Funeral.

Kind of a catchy song, and fun... This was our theme song when Anton and I met.....

  8. maybe neither of them will need to loose anything, the bird can adapt to water, and the fish can come on land.

It is a 50/50 split here, Anton has his goals I have mine, so once in awhile we are apart for a couple of days while he is out building in the desert and I have to stay in town working.....

  9. Have a happy wedding day, and maybe find an alternative place in case of rain, or carry umbrellas.

We had rain forcast in Tucson on our "fun wedding day" Feb. 19, but it didn't rain....

We need the rain so I will hope it comes our way and leaves CA. dry....

  10. Send it to Tucson , We are in major drought... there will be clouds but no rain, just enough to mess up my windshield with a smattering of dust... 100+ days without and considerable rain.

    The cactus are dying.....

  11. We applied in October 04 of course they sent it back the first time since the fee's had increased after we picked up the paper work, resubmitted in November and we didn't hear anything until the end of Jan 05 and then it was "bad news", the waiting is the hardest part..... You will hear something cause it will either be a notice that they they recieved the paper work at least and then a few more months until you are approved.

    Good Luck,

  12. :D We got married November 25 at the JP, had a couple of friends/coworker to see the ceremony as well as be the witnesses, went out to dinner, bought a small cake, champagne .

But on Feb. 19 we had our big party like you wanted something a little more special...

So a friend rented her clubhouse at her apartment complex where I also babysit.

Decorated in the valentine's day theme, put out lots of candy.... cute party/wedding favors...

I asked three of my best friends to officiate our cermony, had some issues there , but the best ones agreed, to do the Unity Candle, rings, and vows....

Anton and I chorographed our entry he down the stair case, me through the main doorway to Elvis's I Can't Help Falling in Love with YOU.

Funny case, my friend doing the music messed up and turned it down to soon and then I turned around and the candles for the Unity part weren't lit, so I said, Cut! Take Two. Someone ran to find a match to light the candles, out of 60 people no one had a lighter or a match. One lady who was at the Clubhouse pool ran across the street to her house to get a lighter. We started over again.. and it went perfectly.

One of the cool things we did was we put small white hankerchiefs on the alter which which represented Anton and Me, we placed our rings there, and then our friends each took a dry rose which was passed out by the girl I babysit and placed them on the alter before they came up and gave us hugs and well wishes. The roses represent there love and support of our marriage. I bought little heart baskets so the roses are in the baskets sitting on our mantle at home as a reminder of what a great day we had .....

Have Fun is the main suggestion and do what brings the most joy to your life!!!!

  13. :help: Yes, I will be turning 40 in June. Thought the day would never happen, the number keeps going through my head... I know I can start to feel some limitations coming on.... more achy joints... a little more poundage than 10 years ago, but I went out on Friday night to some Blues Club/Zydaco Music and I was the youngest there, everyone was rocking out, drinking up a storm and acting crazy so age is just a number, living is the attitude.... At 40 mom can't tell me how long to stay up.. which is earlier and earlier to bed, who to date or marry, Hubby is 31...., what to eat or what to believe anymore.... This life is mine all mine!!!!!
