No you weren't. YOU might have thought you were, but it did not read as such, and such grossly incorrect statements need to be corrected so new people don't think this is the truth.

Go to the corner of Fairfax and Imperial in L.A. once it gets dark Ask for Bubba. Bring $2,500 cash in $20 bills and a passport photo. If Bubba likes you, you'll have your US passport a few days later. Advantage: you don't have to be a US citizen.

The gigantic US war machine, namely Halliburton & Co., are making insane amounts of money off the war, and so do "independent" contractors such as Blackwater. And you know who makes money every time Halliburton makes money? Ex-Halliburton CEO ####### Cheney, also former VP of the United States, the very one who urged us to go to war in the first place.
The big losers of the war are the US troops, the US taxpayers, basically We The People. The wool-over-the eyes thing only works because of people like you who rather invest in war and death abroad, than in schools, hospitals, education, and peace. Sometimes ignorance is a bliss, indeed.

For the same reason US cops are human waste material. (COPS stands for Criminal Organization in Public Service).
CBP officers and Police Officers are the bottom feeders, mentally too messed up to work in a real job. Their mission is not to help but to play the power game, which is why they don't give a ####### about the law themselves and break it frequently, knowing that a cop will not turn against a cop, the same way a criminal will not snitch against another criminal.
After work they stand naked, just with uniform jacket and badge in front of the mirror, and admire themselves (for lack of a more graphic description).

If there was one simple thing I could change about the US, it would be to get rid of this airport bullsh*t.
No more obese TSA drones, no more body scanners, no more "take your shoes off," no more checking of luggage and no more obnoxious name--birthday--gender matching.
I remember when in the early '90s, my ex-girlfriend could sell the return portion of her round-trip ticket via a Recycler ad to a gal from England. They both went to LAX International and the girl checked in under her name after which they split. Everybody won, and flying was much more relaxed and enjoyable.
The terrorist thread I simply eliminate by not invading sovereign nations anymore, not declaring wars for profit, not supporting Israel anymore, and not dropping bombs on the population. Had we used the $1,000,000,000,000.00 we spent on destroying Afghanistan so far in building schools, hospitals, houses, streets and bridges there, they would have loved us to death and given us the few Al 'Queda people on silver platters instead of hating us for what we did to them.

So I just got off the phone with Julian and we went over all our materials again. I really wish I could be there next week, but I have already taken a lot of time off this year so far. Julian seems really confident that nothing will go wrong, but I'm starting to lose it again. He just doesn't seem to be taking this seriously enough! I mean, he has all the right documentation and it's all been filled in correctly, and he has a bunch of relationship evidence (photos, our bank accounts) to bring with him just in case, but I am worried he'll make a flippant remark and we'll have to go through AP.

Are you really planing on sitting in front of a Home Depot or buying a $250 car with broken taillight that is not registered in your name, pretend to be speaking not a word of English, look like you live in a shed with 12 other people, and not carry any form of US ID with you and no proof of insurance either, just to find out if you can trick an Arizona cop who stopped you because of your broken taillight into doubting that you may be illegal in the country?
    Why?
If you are a US citizen or a permanent resident and carry your driver license with you, you will never have any problems, even if you have dark brown hair!

Get reading and check for yourself how many couples are suffering years of separation. You'd think the country where the institute of marriage is crumbling would do more to promote and support those who work to preserve it. It's been over 1.5 years since I've seen my husband. Instead of having children we're having forms! and more forms! And on top of that, times and things we treasure have now become 'evidence', gathering of which is only comparable to some psychosis. I think that even when it's all over, I would not believe that I've endured it. And don't even get me started on going broke over that Moscow trip...

No, man; 'twas for two reasons: (1) Being a cheap gringo, I wanted to time my arrival & waiting-time in order to minimize the outrageous parking-fees at the airport; and (B) I didn't trust the lying, ####### Guayaquil consulate as far as I could kick them -- I suspected that they were going to pull something else. I might be wrong, this is just me. But I don't think people are going green-eyed monster because you got to spend time together in person often. I think the reason people bring it up is because you yourself often do the "They have THEIR NOA2, they have THEIR interview date, what about me" etc. It's just a way of saying 'they were lucky to get their next step through before you, but you've been lucky to see each other often whilst others haven't been able to' and putting things into perspective.
There was someone in my filing group that had her case lost TWICE by USCIS, so by the time we were getting our visas, she was still putting together another package to send. Then after going to a judge and being told that USCIS must come up with her NOA2 in 30 days and then having that be ignored, she finally gave up after 1.5 years of attempting the K1. Well I heard the other day that her husband has just been granted a visa to HER country, two years after they originally filed for the K1, and they're so happy to finally be able to be together. In a lot of ways, she gets green-eyed that me and my husband were together after 9 months of the K1 and didn't have to go through all that. But in other ways, I get green-eyed that there is a house and job waiting for him in her country, whilst I've been trying to get these things in America ever since I came. Ultimately, they've gone through a lot of pain to be together and I've gone through a lot of pain to make my own life in the US, but no one can say who has suffered more. It's all about give and take, and when you play the game of comparing yourself to others, whether it be about speed of the process, number of visits, ease of transition, etc... it's really a pointless game. My point is, people aren't being jealous of your time together in my view, of it they are it's just in response to your own jealousy about others process.
Try not to stress yourself too much with tying up the loose ends and preparing for the wedding. Julian will be home before you know it, and there will be another big obstacle you have to overcome, and I guess that happens throughout life.

You keep thinking that and wear the big 'ole chip on your shoulder at the interview. They to throw around your perceived clout inside the US Embassy in London.
The Visa process is a very mechanical process and to think that a call to a member of a foreign government on behalf of an everyday Joe would bump you up in line is arrogant.
I would agree with JQ that you 2 seem to have one of the least complete understandings of the process and feel entitled to special treatment. For support of this just look bask at both of your topics, you demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of the time & process involved.
But then I also don't see why anyone is wasting time arguing with your about his as your opinion is meaningless to anyone else's VisaJourney and vise versa...
Regardless, good luck with your interview & enjoy your future...

Julian, you would be well served to take what I have just told you with a bit of consideration, rather than with a chip on your shoulder.
All I am saying to you is an interview is NOT a guarantee of immediate visa issuance. I did not make the comment with any ill intent. Rather I made the comment as a caution. You and Melissa have proven to be less than perfectly informed about this process.
Your choice as to whether or not you care to listen.

Back in the day, AP was unheard of at London.
A lot has changed regarding the way background checks are processed since I first began studying all this rigamarole. Police certificates used to come from the "local"; now they come from APCO. The thumb and forefinger of the visa applicant used to be the only digits scanned at interview; now the whole hand is taken. And AP used to be unheard of. When we see it now it is still rare and is usually cleared up in less than a month. There is a case pending right now on VJ that is several months old; the member name is treehugger.
Persons who fly frequently have always been subject to more scrutiny than others. Also certain lines of work cause security hits. As far as I am aware, it has never been disclosed what Julian's family business actually "is". The lifestyle also suggests frequent travel.
A few years ago most visa applicants at London bought their tickets to the US prior to interview. Personally, I wouldn't do that in today's atmosphere. At the very least I would not purchase travel very close in to the interview date. Passing through the London embassy is still a cake walk compared to other consulates. But there are more hiccups than there used to be.

Just because the interview is scheduled doesn't mean the visa is immediately forthcoming.

Check out my timeline. My papers took 2 1/2 weeks to log in London after Royal Mail said they'd been delivered. 3 business days after that, we got our interview date. If your papers were logged in last Friday, then you were eligible for an interview date as Marlea and several others already told you. Three business days later... funnily enough... you have an interview date. Late October is what they're scheduling right now. Your MP honestly had nothing to do with that. They can call till they're blue in the face, but you can't honestly think that the fact that you have an interview date WHEN YOU WERE DUE AN INTERVIEW DATE has anything to do with an MP's lackey calling the embassy.
You're in line like the rest of us, and it's going to stay that way. There are very few reasons that the USCIS/DOS/DHS accept an expedition order on K1 petitions, usually involving serious illness or imminent deployment of a military member. It's just how it works. As Maven said... put on your big girl panties and deal with it.

You have no idea how much I am biting my tongue right now, because quite frankly you are being a jerk to me for no reason.
How many times out of ALL THE PEOPLE ON VJ have I offered help and advice to your fiance? How many times have I said try this or do that to help you both? HOW MANY?
If you refuse to get the point of my asking for proof that getting out your little black book helped, then refuse to do it. I refuse to try to talk sense into people who have used my advice in the past, but all of a sudden have decided I am picking on them for no reason. Quite frankly with the number of times I have backed you BOTH up, and tried to help on numerous occassions when other people here wouldn't have pressed one single button to answer anything either of you have asked, I think you've just managed to make me see I have wasted any and all effort with ever trying to help the both of you. Thank you for making that clear. I'll refrain in the future from ever lifting a finger in your defense or advice again, it's not worth it.

It is in no way delusional to say that if someone is stepping out of the box and it works, to show everyone else how it was done. It is in no way delusional to request proof that his statements have in fact helped him in some way. My stating that the information needs to be proven is NO DIFFERENT then any of the other conversations on the forum that go as such:
    You're wrong
    No, I'm not
Yes, you are and here is the LINK TO THE PROOF.
I've made my point, you agree with it, and if you don't like that, perhaps that is your issue and not mine.

Your fiance posted on her blog a few days ago (I just read it today) that your P3 had been logged. That means you have been eligible for an interview since it was logged. You claimed you called your MP late on Friday, she posted first thing Monday morning that the P3 had already been logged. From that, I can tell that the MP had nothing to do with anything and you are now eligible because they finally got to your paperwork.
