And, if I remember correctly from threads of recent yore (is "recent yore" an oxymoron?), it may not be out of the realm of reality if a certain intending immigrant ends up verbally insulting the U.S. upon attempted entry at POE.In regard to Gary and Alla, I think it's wonderful that a husband sings the praises of his wife as often and devotedly as Gary does, si man.
In regard to overimbibing, the future Mrs. T-B. attended consecutive, all-night "despedidas" (going-away parties) in THREE different Ecuadorian cities before catching her flight to the U.S. She arrived as a sleepless zombie, and with a terrible chest infection that took three weeks to clear up, but she arrived on time, si man.

Really? All three of them? At the same time?

If you had an arranged marriage then your wife is probably as distraught as you are about the marriage not working out. The only problem is that SHE is one who left her family, possessions and life in her home country to be with you. You lose effectively nothing in this ordeal, so I hope you can at least think of her as a person with feelings and a reputation to uphold at home before you disgrace her and send her packing.

Wow... marriage and immigration isnt like "buyers remorse". You cant just ask for a refund and walk away! You married this woman, brought her to a new country and then ABANDONED her... thats terrible. I dont usually get judgemental on these forums, but this is unreasonable!

I don't know why some people bring forigner to this country, use them and then left them to their own. they don't realise thathow hard it will be to adjust in this country specially when there is a language difference.
Marriage is a joke here, people fell for for it just too.
    THIS ABOVE IS PERFECT EXAMPLE

If you really just sincerely 'changed your mind', I hope she can be successful with VAWA and an abandonment claim. That's really unkind to pluck her from her life, then leave her with no options.

Honestly, you lived and worked here illegally for the past 3 years and now you are looking for us to tell you that what you did was ok and will not effect your future immigration petition. I don't think anyone here can do that. I'm sorry we can't give you the answers you want to hear, but I can't imagine anyone on this forum telling you it is ok to lie on your application or withold information, especially since all of us are going through the process legally and have been separated from our significant others for long periods of time waiting for visas. You just have to go through the process however you think is best and hope it works out.

So planning ahead you just got married and assuming you have just gotten your AOS. In 3 years you can get your citizenship. You can apply for your Mother/father then that should take about a year. When they arrive they will be able to get citizenship in 5 years , they can then apply for their sibling which will take about 10 years. The sibling can then bring the child ( your cousin) So 3 years plus 1 year plus 10 years , minus 9 months means you should conceive in 13.5 years if you want you cousin to baby sit.

I'm sure you will find a trustworthy babysitter among the 308,700,000 people in the United States.
No, you can't adopt your cousin, you can't marry him, and you can't claim he's your son or your brother either.

Be grateful that the fates have given you the opportunity to live in the United States and that your baby will be a US citizen and try to make the best of it.
    Wish you well.

I think that over the years, Hollywood has given the impression that if you marry an American, you're automatically entitled to come to/stay in this country. I have talk to many people that think this is true and asked me why I didn't just marry my fiancée in the Philippines and bring her here on a plane when I returned from visiting her.

You mentioned she left you numerous times and she just left again. Probably for good this time. How many times does she need to leave before you realize you're not in her plans? You think she used you to get here. Now it's up to you to decide if you want her to USE YOU (again) to stay here aswell. As for having the aos denied, you can either go to the interview and tell the IO you want it withdrawn for the reason you've given. You will be given a statement to sign that offically pulls the plug. Or of you don't want to waste gas by going to the interview just stay home. Without your signature on all the forms, the application will be denied.

By Melissa's own admission- This guy belly ached for an expedited interview at the Embassy by going thru friends in high places and then because of a hangover wanted to reschedule....He cannot catch a plane on time....What next?
Honestly, I've been on VJ a while, I've seen people whose IQ I was sure was less than average complete their immigration and start their lives together more organized and motivated than these two.
It's not real anyway. It's a bored, attn hungry VJer and soon that Vjer's buds will be along to throw poop at those that say this is not real.

Melissa, how can you honestly say ( and keep a straight face) that what Gary writes about his wife is BS ( pretty, well educated, happily married to him...etc) ----when your own recounting of YOUR life is such a pile of disorganized crapola that reads like a cheap fiction novel.
    Really.
If what Gary says is BS ( personally I don't think so)....but if it is...it's more believeable than your BS.
    edit-I don't have my Phd......you think that's BS too?

OMG now I remember. This is the same couple that was arguing on the forum about where they were going to honeymoon and Julian was sure he was going to arrive on a K-1 and then honeymoon in some foreign country and HE alone would be the exception to the travel rule for K-1s. Some people just have no life.
I would never imagine the wedding itself is a complete goat shtup! This is better than MCat abd his stripper wife he never had sex with.

You only have one sister and we all know part of the reason you didn't want her ' in' is that you said is because she is prettier than you, and you were worried about whats-his-name (the best man) getting molested by her, which is really petty, btw.

Let Julian marry Rachel, You be a brides maid. I only read the first page of this but it sounds like there are too many unresolved issues.
If one friend hates julian enough to drop out of the wedding, And Julian hates the other friend enough to take your families side against
    you. Hello big red flag.
Part of the trouble with big weddings is they take on a life of their own, You obviously are not in control.
It appears you are going to have to choose between Julian and your friends. That really should have been done before all this wedding
stuff was set up. If you follow the momentum of the wedding now, it is the equivilent of being steamrolled.

    Do NOT attend the interview.
Or better yet, attend it and then let the IO know that you are pulling your I-864 since you're convinced that this woman married you solely for immigrating to the US.
    That'd be priceless.

Hi stranger lady. I was wondering how it was all going for you these days -- granted, I haven't been on much recently, but I never saw you post much after the interview. I took that as a good sign, and I guess it was. Too bad Julian is still being such a jerk about moving over here; it continues to be a source of confusion to me why he would ever agree to come here when he hates it so much! Oh well, most of the whingers end up rubbing along all right over here, and if not, guess you guys will need to find a third, neutral country to live in!
