  1. hello

yes you first need to remove your conditional green card to a permanent one. Later you will be able to apply for citizenship.

you need to apply to remove conditional status 90 days before its expiration. So you are in those days that you need to apply. do not miss this step

  2. i dont know if the 30-60 days rule is a myth or it is true. in your case you crossed the border and got married and plan to file in less time than 60 days?. As i told you dont know if this is true or just a myth. my only advice is that you should try to remember all the questions the officer asked you in the airport and what you answered to that, as a way to avoid any risk related to immigration fraud. sorry to tell you that but the first time i ve heard about this rule was from a law firm here in Manhattan, New York advising a customer friend of mine,  in this case they got married 1 year before and she came for a visit and decided to start the process,

  3. it would be helpful is you update your timeline to have more information to help you better. VJs time for i765 and I131, in my opinion, are very good. in our case USCIS received on jun02, 2016 and i received it on Sep 9. and the appointment for our interview was scheduled to March 24th. Now they are runnung with Dec8,2016 fillers. so you should receive news soon.

wish you the best of the lucks and be patients

Ohh oky they received my june 6 and I send the last packet. they They received them last week. How much time was taken for them to check everything ? , They worked on your case so fast good luck with everything.

I have a friend she is an immigration lawyer and she suggest me to send all information in the first packages even the payments. I was filling concurrently i130,i485,i765 and i864 all together.

    i sent on May 28,

    they received on jun2nd

    biometrics was like month later.

i received the EAD and AP in September.

no any other notice till Feb 15.

when we took the decision to start this process my friend an other lawyer in the firm where she works told me that ii was taking like 5 month i was reading at the uscis that because they change all the procedure all this kind of petition are being  moved progressively to NBC and they have not applied quality to the process that why they don't show processing time.  So i was expecting 6 month not ten month lol

but in any case i am so happy about this new status

wish you the best in this journey

  5. Wow your post catch my attention to see is there is any chance to give you information, I am not a lawyer.

Reading at uscis page it seems that you can apply, there is a specific topic that make me doubt an is related to the years after your adoptive father died that allow you to apply. But in my opinion  you should apply so you shoud try in my opinion.

There are a lot of lawyers that can help you with that, as a pro bono activity. You can write letters, of course not the first one is going to be taken for a lawyer but someone will help you. I have two friends that were in a desperate immigration situation, one of them in jail, and they wrote a lot of letters to lawyers and appear several lawyers interested for free. there are also lawyers they give you the first visit for free just to evaluate the case and evaluate feasibility   Also keep in mind that most of the lawyers give you the chance to pay in several parts.

    wish you the best !

How long it takes for your case to complete ?

I is taken almost 10 month, taking in account that they received in jun 2nd, and the interview will be in MArch 24th. we call uscis at the beginning of the year and the operator told me they were processing Jan 18th 2016. So i was expecting june as a date for the interview and was 2 month earlier than january´s statistics.

  7. Wow, i think everything is on their own time.

you´ve just meet the guy and already thinking about weddings,  CR1.

take your time, just enjoy the relation as it is going, no expectations, just watching the growing of your feelings ( both´s feelings ), plan trips, vacations, visit. Enjoy this early moments. Not only because he would live in USA, most important is to know if you really feel comfortable with him.

take your time, wrong forum this is not an immigration post this is about-love post

    :D

  8. Hi

a visa can have validity up to 10 years, meaning that the visitor can travel all the time but never overstaying the time limit that was stamped in your passport by the time you get into USA. It is commonly 6 month but not necessarily everybody is given 6 moth ( is based on the decision of the officer )

for people that are filling for the first time it can be possible that the visa will emitted and be valid only for the time of the trip. but if you are given a visa for 1, 2,5 or 10 years, you can travel whenever you want. always keeping in mind that you can not overstay your time limit

  9. K1 only allow her to get into USA to get marry and start a process with you if she left the country she wont be able to apply for AOS with this k1.

When do you file for AOS you can also file I-765 & I-131 that allow her to travel and work while waiting for the AOS.( No additional fees) it takes like 3 months.

  10. So it is kind of impossible? what about that company transfer visa or something like that? Unfortunately I can't risk a full year to enter the DV program. I have to act soon :/

I could immigrate to Europe but i'd rather stay in América.

I think you should study the option of the EB-5 maybe your parents can help you with that.

    wish you luck
