One never know when crossing..I would just say visiting.....I keep to the KISS principle..keep it super simple...just keep ur answers short and to the point and be confident.....I traveled almost monthly to DC, never had an issue, but my visits were normally short..longest was 3 weeks! Most don't have any problems, but a few do. One should always have ties to Canada with them....don't hand them over unless asked.....I always had them, but was never asked for them. best of luck

Like Exocet stated, probably best he phone/email the DR he is going to and see if there is going to be any additional paperwork/procedures that need to be done, thus no surprises at the time of the medical. I recall 1 guy a few yrs back had t get a waiver..he said it was from a DUI...but who knows...1 does NOT always get the full story on VJ......Since he has a criminal record, he will need finger printing done as well.

weekends tend to be very slow here on the Cdn page...do a search at the top right...misspelled name on visa.....and you will see it has happened to others. Best of luck

I think many forums are like that...people tend to act differently behind a keyboard!! And then they like to throw out the term "free speech" I guess their term of free speech is different than mine. Oh well..don't let them bother u, it is what it is, Best of luck

Another thing to keep in mind is cell service in that area..some providers are better than others. A few websites out there that can assist on that!!

You can not "move" to the USA..tell that to the POE officer, good chance you will be turned back.....use the word "visiting"...........

Calling the emergency #, you probably got the on call Staff. which could be anyone in the Embassy.....and thats not their job to check into Visa stuff...meant for true emergencies......And yes only for USA citizens

One simply can't ask if they accept your insurance----as u may find out the hard way,lol I did that with a dentist! Sure they accepted it, but since they were out of network..didn't cover much...only made that mistake once, luckily it was just a check up.
Medical tourism is really picking up. The dental care in Managua Nicaragua was awesome and cheap.....fully modern.....Pretty good too here in Quito from what I have heard......doesn't do much if ur having a heart attack, lol But medical tourism is big business......Bogota Columbia has great laser eye surgery................

Always sticker shock when one goes into the liquor store back in Canada!! Its pretty sad when I can get Molson Canadian and Moosehead cheaper in Nicaragua than I can buy it in Canada, lol

Really it does not matter what we think---or what you think....all it takes is for 1 USA Immigration agent to stop you at the border.....And you will loose the Green card on the spot!! And then you can pay more $$$$$ to hire those immigration lawyers! If your soo certain..next time U cross into the USA--tell the Immigration official the WHOLE complete story....he may care...he may not....Being cdn they may turn the other cheek! Make sure u have a good tax accountant as well.

I guess I'm wrong.....if you do a search here on VJ...you will see others have had it taken away when they have re-entered the USA. Maybe they are lying.

If one truly wants to know the answer---next time you head into the USA---tell them ur situation.......The longer u stay living in Canada, the greater chance they will take away ur Greencard......those chances may be slim, who really knows.....but all it takes is one time.....There are many Canucks that work in Canada..but they reside in the USA.....and they checked into it and are not entitled to use the Cdn Healthcare system......I have no time to look for links..not my issue..sure would suck to be sent a huge bill. Best of luck
