Egypt, unfortunately, is a high fraud country and they put many ppl on AP. K1 petition expires unlike the CR1. Either you will hear from them or it will be set to expire. In this case, you can file another K1 or simply get married(which has nothing to do with her having kids or not). After getting married in Egypt, she goes back to the US and file I-130 to petition you. That of course takes time, currently 10-12 months average until interview...No guarantee that a CR1 will be approved at interview as they can still deny you and in this case, unlike the K1, CR1 will go back to USCIS who in turn send u a NOIR requesting further evidence (this usually takes months). If the case is reaffirmed at the USCIS, they send it to the embassy with recommendation to approve, however, again it is up the embassy.

They usually look for red flags that might indicate that the marriage is for the sake of immigration. Common red flags are big age gap, different religions/backgrounds. specially when it is a young male getting married to a US female who is much older, with kids, and different religion/background. Not saying your case is one of those, but giving you an idea on what to expect. Contact the embassy every now and then and hopefully you hear something for sure.
In other cases, your CR1 can be approved on the spot like many others...but I thought to give you an idea that might relates to your situations. Hope that helps man.

Praying for your sooner approval. And you're right, try to expedite, you have valid reason for it. Just don't forget to pay all fees before your spouse arrives the US. I read someone did file for expedition and so they skipped paying for the fees online then the embassy told them to just pay some other fees upon arrival in the US then was denied entry and the wife needed to go back to her country just to pay the fees. 😬

Yeah. My wife is currently pregnant and due end of April....trying and praying that she be here early March...but I guess I am just hoping for too much. it will represent a challenge to take time off here, from work,  to go to the birth, deal with embassy for the child birth certificate abroad to get him/her a passport and then the agony of leaving my wife to get back to work and prepare things here....so much time and money needed if it happens this way that will be a hardship for me. So I share your prayers, the sooner the better and hopefully the embassy can grant an expedition for the case once at the NVC stage.

Same here. I called and needed to leave my phone number and got called back after 3 hrs from an officer. He was extremely nice and took the time to look at my application and told me it seems that it has been assigned to an officer and I should hear something within the next two weeks. My PD is 05/30. So at least this gives us the hope that they are indeed working on May filers. Fingers crossed.

My wife signed her's when we were together in Morocco then I brought it home with me...so I am not sure if that might be the reason but I am definitely interested to know.
Congratulations in advance and update it

You are welcome. Your husband may contact the congress/senator of the state he is residing at. Usually their office has a case worker who handles inquires with government agencies. Hope that help.

As far as I know, only the petitioner can call the USCIS regarding an application filed on behalf of the beneficiary.

It is not uncommon for cases to be transferred to other service centers and still pending. Since you are out of processing times, you can submit a service request online so they can take a look. USCIS asks applicants to wait 6 months before requesting such service which in your case past due.
Also a congressional inquiry might help pushing things a little.
    Good luck

Over the years we have all seen some red flag cases go through and also seen many of the USC then talk about the husband leaving once he got the green card etc.

this case seems less likely to have ordinarily got denied, given there are almost none of the typical red flags. There is a reason i am sure.  Speculating here but perhaps the Moroccan citizen is very well off financially and has paid for USC trips (seem far too many and too long for her to be holding a job or running a business).  Perhaps its seen as a purchase?  If you dig deep enough something will come up.

Not denying any of what you are saying. Morocco ,as other countries in that region, are considered a high fraud country. When the petition goes back to USCIS they will have to provide a letter with details why the visa has been denied. Believe it or not, but when I saw some of these letters online here and there, there were convincing reasons for the denials such as inconsistencies (major one for denying). Also, these countries, which I am from one of them, tend to have more male immigrants who engage with female US petitioners with big difference in age, different religion while its not usually normal in the beneficiary country, or a male engaged in marriage with a female with kids and such. It is unfortunate that those innocent true relationships are effected by those who use the system but its what it is. As you might be aware, petition will go back to USCIS and it can be reaffirmed. I, myself, originally from Egypt and it is almost a 0.0% to see interfaith marriage within the country or marriage with big gap in age. Very unusual and usually results in problems there, so that is why embassy look at such marriage with scrutiny and try to find reasons for denial. I am married to a Moroccan girl sharing same religion and normal gap difference and the embassy usually see that as the norm they are looking for. Again, I feel upset that some true relations with red flags are caught in that dilemma but I can see some cases with legit reason for scrutiny. Best of luck for all those with bonafide relations.

Nothing yet on my side. Seen cases in May getting approved here and on other websites. So I hope Nov will be our month. Also, I have known many users here who get approved, by them stating so in other topics but they never update their timeline. I hope Visajourney would put reminders for users to do so to improve the timeline accuracy. Fingers crossed.
