I just checked timeline for I-485 at CSC at the USCIS website and it's 4 months. It's only been 3 months so I am waiting another month and then I guess I will be calling them non-stop. I just hope they haven't lost my case or something. I guess it's not likely but...it hasn't been touched for so long and everyone else has gotten their approvals so much quicker. We've had no RFEs and I thought our case was really straight forward...

Hey guys, just to let you know that my green card was approved and ordered today.
(74 days from NOA)
Good luck ot everyone still waiting, I'll be checking in now and then to make sure everyone else is moving on
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! that's great news!!!!!!!!!
:joy:

Another week! Let's hope for a good one!!!
On Wednesday, it's been 3 months since we sent the application and this week it's 10 weeks since the case was transferred to CSC. Hoping for at least a touch this week!

From the RFE's wording, it makes it seem like they (also) lost the copy of DS-3025 I sent them. In most cases, this form is enough. Hopefully I will be able to make an infopass for Charlotte monday morning and convince wife to drive me there. Nothing is open on the weekend, hate being a sitting duck.
Also thinking about contacting London Embassy and seeing if they can get a copy to me (or CSC) in a sealed envelope of my medical I took there.
Yes, London Embassy should have it on file after your K-1 interview? Can't believe CSC seems to have lost it. But have read about cases here on VJ when USCIS lost documents or has them but not aware of it.. Fingers crossed it will all work out soon!

Damn guys.. I gt my RFE and they want a new I-693. And they want it submitted by DEC 30TH!!!!! This is a nightmare for me, I dont even know if I could get an appointment by then?
I'm really worried.
Oh no! If you tell them it's an emergency and immigration requires you to submit it by Dec 30, hopefully the DR will understand and somehow be able to schedule you for an appointment. I didn't send I-693 either. Seems quite a lot of people didn't and still got their GC approved. It is really weird how USCIS works sometimes. I really hope you'll be able to make an appointment and send it to CSC on time!!!
No news here. Still waiting for them to find the time to look at my case...

Unfortunately still no news from me. have a great weekend everyone!

Guys,
Next week it's been 3 months since we sent our application and still haven't been touched since Oct. Let's say nothing happens in December... what can I do? Do I schedule an infopass? What is infopass?? I know it's still too early to complain but if I still haven't had a touch in a month or two, there has to be something you can do? Getting scared they forgot / lost my case! Almost everyone in Sep filers have gotten approval or interview date by now and we applied on Sep 9 and still have heard nothing and have had no RFEs.

62 degrees here and sun! WOW It will most likely be one of the last nice days here in CT this year - will be getting a lot colder! I hope CSC is in a good sunny mood too and will have a look at my case today!
12 weeks since we sent it now.

Why is it that some are approved without an interview ??
Anyone know ?
Ross
Either your case is handled by the local office or the case is transfered to CSC. I am not sure why some cases are transferred to CSC and some are not. It might depend on the work load of the local office. Also, it seems only those that entered on a K1 are transfered to CSC (and not does adjusting status from other visas). Maybe that's because K1s already had interviews in their home countries. Anyway, those cases that stay in the local office have to come in for an interview at that office. Those transferred to CSC, do not have an interview.

I got an email today say Card Production Ordered!
Congrats!!!!!

Exactly 2 months today since my case was transfered to CSC. Still no touch since 10/27. Please CSC give met least a touch!!!! Just so I know my case hasn't disappeared somewhere...
-
Received e-mail notice that I-485 was approved today and card production was ordered. They say it could be 30 days until we receive green card ??
I 485 received by USCIS on 9/2
Biometrics 10/22
EAD received 10/28
Approval 12/1
There was no contact with me or listed action on their web page. Just a straight jump from Initial Review to Card Production.
I won't complain.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!

Just a note to all Swedes... FYI the Swedish consulate in NYC will be closing and Dec 28 will be the last day they're open. I've applied for a new passport (in my married name) there and it's very fast and uncomplicated. From Jan 2010, the Embassy in DC will be the place to go for passports.
And the consulate in LA closed on November 20th. They're sure not making it any easier to get new passports.
And they are only valid for 5 years, not 10 like they used to! I will definitely try to get my next passport in Sweden. It only takes a few days to do it and is 400kr, not USD 170 like they charged me here and especially since traveling to DC is required next time!

i forgot.. as we left the interview, we had an email for a job offer!!! they got his resume off of careerbuilder.com
it requires a typing test tho and hubby can only peck, but it was nice to have someone seeking him out for a job tho..
thanks cutedolphin.. i told my friends..its truly a testament that God has our perfect end in mind, despite our lack of wisdom, intellect, strength or charm.. what He put together, no man can separate..
Wonderful news! Congrats on your approval!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks cute dolphin and martin & raven! i was thinking of waiting too to avoid getting the restricted SSN, been waiting for over 4 months for that number, i dont wanna go back againso son afte applying hahaha! the employees there are tired of seeing my face! lol!
let's dance around the fire and hope our cards fly in soon! =D
I havent thought about that at all. I have a SSN that I got before even applying for AOS. Does this mean I will have to go to the SS office to update them when I have my green card? Or will this happen automatically??

I hate waiting for an RFE, trying to think what it could be about. Only thing I can think is I-693 Vaccination Supplement or my pictures, which had a slight shadow across the face, but NBC should have noticed that?
So weird they're sending another RFE. If it's your photo or vaccination supplement - haven't they noticed it until now?? Now I'm scared because haven't been touched since 10/27 and I bet they'll find something to send RFE about next time they look at my case - in a month or two!
hi everyone! martin an raven, am sorry for the rfe, pretty sure your case will resume asap.got an email: card production ordered! ill just wait for the card before going to apply for a SSN. sept filers! our time is here! hurraahhh! thanks everyone!
Congrats! Great news!!!
-
BAH! Bunch of scrooges at USCIS sent me yet another RFE, Grrrrr.
Oh, no! Hope you get it soon so that you can send whatever they need back to them.
I went to the Swedish consulate in NYC today. I need a new passport with my married name. It says on their website you have to bring your greencard to get a new passport but I took a chance and went there anyway with just my EAD. And they made me a new passport! Will get it in a week or two. So even though I have zero news from CSC, at least passport went OK

New month! Let's hope for some more news!! Tomorrow it is 2 months since my case was transferred to CSC...Come on CSC! Hoping for at least a touch!
-
Well, another touch today but still no notices or status changes.. figners still crossed for everyone.
That's a very good sign though!!!! I still have no touches since Oct 27th. Starting to prepare myself I might not get GC approved until next year. It's not the end of the world, but was really hoping for a Nov approval.
Can't believe it's December tomorrow! Time has passed by so quickly!!
-
New week! Let's hope for some good news this week!!! Have a great one everyone!
-
I heard that it will be 2 years of your anniversaryWe had a touch today saying the approval notice has been sent for I-485, which I am assuming means they sent the greencard! yay! How do I calculate when we have to file removal of conditions?
I think you apply for removal of conditions 3 months before the 2 year anniversary of your green card approval.

I really hope I get some news next week. Don't want to be inpatient, but next week it's 2 months since my case was transferred to CSC...
I am sure you will hear something soon! We got approved 5 days before our 2 month since transferred mark.
Thank you, I hope so
Monday will be 2 days from our 2 month since transferred mark so really hoping for some good news then!

Great news that you're able to do the medical so soon and that the results will be fast! But I can't believe they need a new full medical!!?? You came on a K-1 Visa... That implies you've done the medical in the UK, right? Fingers crossed you'll be able to send it to CSC on time and that it won't cost $450!
