Yes, that's true what MonekyJuice said, you will get your AP and EAD soon. On the same day after bio, you will see 'touch' I think. That happens a lot after one has bio!!^^

I am looking for touches right now and it is so strange. I got my AP already and it was dated 10/15. However on the website, it says it was touched 10/20 but that it's still on "initial interview" (and no email was sent to me when it was approved). But I have the AP in my hands... EAD was last touched 10/20 as well. Hoping for an approval soon :)

I am so happy for everyone! So far everyone in this group have been doing so well! Lots of transfers to CSC, lots of very quick approval and even a greencard approval already!!!

  2. Congrats to everyone having things going on in this thread! Its so exciting how fast its going for some of us! For those of us that got transferred to CSC, does anyone have any idea what kind of timeline we are on?? Like how many months we can expect to wait?

Based on other transferred time lines we are looking at somewhere between 1 to 2 months (varies quite a bit by case) after the transfer date.

Really!?!! That's all. WOW! That is really quick.

The fact that I rescheduled my biometrics for a later date might delay things for me though.

  3. Collect birth cert, police cert etc and when you have that, send the checklist and DS 230, DS 156 and 156k back to the Embassy. Do NOT send the birth cert, police cert etc. Those, together with the affidavit of support (and supporting documents) you'll need for the interview. At interview, they will ask for those documents. Also make sure she has the affidavit of support from you and the supporting documents now as this is also one of the requirements on the checklist and she will be asked to present it at interview (ie do not send affidavit to embassy, just bring it to interview).

How was your walk-in?? You got it today right...??

I never went. Looking at the USCIS website I realized the New Rochelle office is closed on Mondays and I still have a cold so I'd rather just rest and take care of everything else that has to be done before our honeymoon. So I'll just go on my new appointment date, Oct 24. It's a Sat so my hubby can also drive me and it will all work out better.

  5. Guys,

I am going to try to do a biometrics walk-in tomorrow. Got a new appointment (original was on 10/15 new one is on 10/24) and want to try a walk-in instead. When it says that no cell phones (and cameras etc) are allowed - does it mean you can bring your cell but not use it (or they take it from you and keep it until you leave) or can you actually not bring a cell at all? Maybe stupid question but want to be able to call my hubby when I get out of there and thats difficult to do without a phone..

Thanks! Hope you're all having a good weekend!!!!

  6. The ones of you that have had touches - have you received an email about it or have you just been logging in on the website? I signed up for email alerts when something happens and haven't received a single one so maybe I should be logging in on the USCIS and checking? Or maybe our case just hasn't been touched yet?

No email alerts, email alerts are really for any major changes in your case such as transfers, RFEs, Approvals etc. To find out if you have had a "touch" you will need to log onto the USCIS website and check the date in the "Last Updated" field.

Ah OK. Will do that then. Thanks

They do require you to send the original back unfortunately. However, they also ask to make a copy for your own records before sending the original. Without the original, don't think you can do early walk in since they stamp the receipt on your original appointment letter.

    Cheers

Hmmmmmmm.... can you cancel your request, and instead walk-in now?

I sent the appointment paper back to them so I have nothing right now. I think all I can do is wait and see...

You sent the original back and not a copy? Eeek!

Yes they do require to send them the original but recommend you to make your own copy. I do have a photocopy but there's no way they'd let me do a walk-in based on that so have to wait patiently for my reschedule now... :(

  7. Does anyone know if Linnéa could get the medical "checkup" done in the states or does it have to be done in Sweden?

I also think it has to be done in Sweden. But to know for sure, why don't you email the Embassy in Sweden. I emailed them a question and they emailed me an answer right away and I know other Swedes had the same experience. The phone hours don't really work but emailing them works really well.

  8. Congrats!!!

Your petition is now probably on its way to NVC and then it will be sent to the Embassy in Sweden. My experience with the Embassy in Sweden was excellent and they are really fast so I'd expect your packet 3 to arrive soon. I got an interview just over a month after my NOA2 so if you want to speed things up, probably your fiance should go back to Sweden sooner than Nov. Also, if you haven't done so yet start collecting police certificate and birth certificate.

    Good luck!

  9. I have created a spreadsheet time line for AOS September filers, if anyone would like to be added to the sheet or if there are any errors, incomplete values just post in this thread and I will make the necessary changes. Also any recommendations or improvements for the sheet would be greatly appreciated.

There are only two sets of data that is outstanding:

    1) Whether you submitted the I-693 Medical Form with your AOS Package

    2) Whether you intend doing an early walk in on Biometrics and if so when or if you are not and are attending Biometrics on the date that was given to you by USCIS.

    Thanks :)

    AOS September 2009 Filers

Awesome! I did not send I-693. I am trying to reschedule my Biometrics. If I'll be able to reschedule it for an earlier date, I'll go for that date and otherwise I'll try a walk-in.
