Same here, worse my case is still not found
Don't worry too much about not being able to see your case online. I never saw my case online, and then one day I just had a letter from USCIS with my GC in the mail! You could already be approved, without even knowing it! Just check the mail and I am sure the card will be there soon.

I just checked out the USCIS website and saw the following note:
On February 15, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
It was approved just now! Yupiii!!!

Hi Everyone
I' ve tras this forum for a while; but I' m in the Spanish forum. I sentido my I-751 to California CSC in August 31' but my NOA date is Sept. 1; I had my biometrics on Oct. ;until this moment I haven't had any answer; and I am wondering me what's going on. Somebody may tell me if this is normal ; or if would be better Call there?

CSC processing time for I-751 (according to the USCIS website) is 6 months, so if I was you I'd wait until March 1st and then give them a call if you still haven't heard anything.

Just came home and checked the mail and had 2 letters from USCIS... One that says my ROC has been approved, and one containing the green card. Haven't been able to see any updates online so this came as a total surprise! Yey!!

It happens to quite a few people, you can call USCIS and get an operator by using the prompts to change an address and then ask them about your case.
I am in the same situation, case still cannot be found online. Called USCIS last year and they said all was in order, but couldn't give me an explanation to why I can't view it online other than that it is apparently normal for this kind of case... hmm... anyway, I wouldn't worry about it, it's just frustrating not being able to get online updates on your case, but anything that updates online will eventually be sent by mail anyway..

Happy New Year!
We just moved back to the east coast and am unsure of one thing... We sent our application to CSC, but... our office now that we've moved would be VSC... Does that mean our application will be transferred from CSC to VSC because of the move?? I hope not!
BTW.. Still can't see updates online! Frustrating.

We're moving back to the east coast in a few days. Hoping USCIS address change works this time... Last time they kept sending to the old address...
Probably won't be back on VJ again until next year - so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!!!!!!!!

My green card expires tomorrow, no news yet on mine being renewed or not. No RFE, no notices or "last update dates" online or anything.
The worst is not knowing anything of whats happening with it. On top of not knowing if we will move across the country or across the world at a moments notice.. specially now that my card is expiring tomorrow.
My card expires on Saturday. Moving back to the east coast this month so really hoping something happens soon, because last time we made an address change with USCIS they just kept sending to old address.

Don't worry. My case is not available online either, never has been. I called USCIS and asked them about it and they didn't give me an explanation but said it was normal. It does kind of makes you feel like you're in the dark though - would be nice to be able to receive an email update if something happens on your case...

I think I got approved! I checked my case status (which I've been doing every week hoping that the system will eventually find it) right now, and to my surprise it said "On November 21, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. My husband's grandmother has been wanting to take us on a cruise since last fall. She was thinking of doing it last winter but it didn't work out. Now she found great deals for February 5th through the 12th and she only has till Monday to get the guaranteed reduced prices for the tickets. When she first mentioned it 2 months ago, I thought that ROC only took 3-4 anyway, so I told her we would go on a cruise no problem since by that time we should probably be done with ROC. But earlier this week I started to have doubts that we could get scheduled for an interview (even though it seems to be pretty rare) during our cruise time. I started looking into the subject trying to find if I could reschedule a ROC interview, but from what I read it looks like only in health-related situations can you reschedule an interview nowadays. I know the odds are slim for us to get an interview during those 6 business days when we are away, considering that only 1 out 15 or 20 people seem to get interviews and even if we were to have one, what are the chances of it falling on those days? I filed on September 9th, so the middle of the cruise will match exactly the 5-month mark after I filed.
Do you think we should take our chances and go on a cruise or should we wait till next year? I really don't want to wait till next year:(( What would you do?
I agree with the others, go on the cruise! It's so difficult to predict what will happen and when, and it sounds like you really want to go, I think you'll just regret later if you don't.

So i got my 10 year greencard in the mail today
so so happy right now. i got the letter congratulating me and the green card came in a seperate envelope. am i right in saying that the journey hasnt quite finished yet? is there something else that needs to be done?wishing all good luck

It seems that they are indeed closed as it is a federal holiday. See this old discussion on VJ:

I do... But it doesn't work... I might call USCIS and ask about it, but on the other hand maybe it's a good thing... I won't be able to obsessively check online for "touches"..
I just called the USCIS automated phone to see if it's possible to the check status that way and the phone also says the case cannot be found... hmm... weird. Will call them tomorrow and try to speak to a representative because it seems kind of weird. I understand if it doesn't always show up online, but it should come up on the phone!?

I have the exact same situation. Still not found on the website. I have a feeling we just won't be able to check online... I think it happened to a few people when I was applying for AOS.

yes my case shows online for the portfolio and for the case status check. Only the number from the biometrics page works.
Tried the number on my biometrics letter but still doesn't work. Oh well, not the end of the world....

Just a note, the case number on my Biometric letter is different from the case number on my NOA1 but all the information on both letters matches the only thing that does not is the case number.
I tried to add both of the case numbers and only the new number on the biometrics appointment will work and shows up my case status now.
Does your case show online? I just tried the application number on the biometrics notice and it doesn't work.

How will it effect my Swedish citizenship?
It won't. You will not be a US citizen, you'll be a permanent resident. If you (later on) decide to apply for US citizenship, you can keep your Swedish citizenship.
Will I have to inform any Government in Sweden about my US Green Card?
Yes, contact skatteverket. Use "anmälan flyttning till utlandet". If you have changed your last name after your marriage, you should report this name change as well (and apply for a new passport showing your new last name. Otherwise your green card and passport will have different surnames)
Do I have to pay taxes in both countries?
No.
Can I still take advantage of our free healthcare when I go back to Sweden to visit?
No.
