  1. Hello everyone. I have a question: I have been 3 times in USA with the WAT program so totaly yes I have lived there for more than 1 year (3times x 4 months). So my question is do I need to get some kind of police cerificat from there or this is part of their security checks? I am asking because the instructions says that if I lived abroad for more than 1 year I need a police record from there. Sorry if the question is silly but really have no idea what to do.

    Thanks

  2. Hello everyone. Me and my fiancee are kind of confused about this letter from the employer. He is working for wallgreens and the way they do the conformation about an employment is trough a web site where you punch the SSN and the employer code and you can see all his information (full-time employee, current salary, income for the last years and etc.) So my question is should I just give this info to the consular and they check for themselves or his manager has to sign some kind of form. If that's so is there an example form or it is just free text and then wet signature from the manager?

we also have another question about the tax returns. Should he just called IRS and ask them for transcripts for the past 2 years?

    Thank you very much

Sorry, didn't answer all the question...

The letter is a freestyle effort, something to the effect of....

This is to verify that ________________ is employed by Walgreens in the position of __________________ and earns a (salary/wage) of_______________ per (hr., month, year). This is a (permanent/temporary) position and is (full time/part time). He/she has been employed with this company since __________

    That's about it.

Thank you so much. You have been very helpfull. I see you are posting a lot and helping a lot of people with advice. Keep the good work :)

  4. i have a question for you guys. i spoke with my fiancee and he is wondering exactly what is he supposed to prepare as a document showing his emplyment. he works for wallgreens and they have a website they work with for those purposes. basically if you have his code and his SSN you can check his position and his salary for the past years. he is saying that is what i am supposed to give to the consular but i am not sure about that.So my question is this enogh or there is like a form or something he has to fill and if thats a yes from where we can take it?

    Thanks

  5. First-time poster here. Just checked on the USCIS site and received notice that our NOA2 was sent today! BTW, first time I could see anything on USCIS site; previously just received the error message.

VJ site was very useful in preparing the petition, and will continue to use in the future. Thanks all for sharing your experiences.

Congratulations!!!!!!!! Good luck with the interview.

  6. Thanks for the invite!!!!!! I feel I may be the winner....we did file pretty late. Sheeeeeeeeeeesh, now I think about it, i'll probably be the last left on the dang thread!

I'm leaving for the states at some ridiculous time in the morning on Saturday, but I trust kevin will be an excellent referee and ensure no one is calling up USCIS and begging for their NOA 2's to be delayed, just so they can beat me!

    I WILL BE VICTORIOUS!! ;)

No cheating on my part. Honest. :innocent:

We just got touched again and finally our case says after a couple touches that a RFE is on it´s way to us :-( does anybody know what´s the difference between furter and initial evidence??? thank you guys for any response

Look, together-forever intentionally left out information so they could win! :P

:))) honestly I would prefer if we all lose. I would much rather the term loser than to join this very sad tread 6+ months. i am a bit worried because I can't do anything untill I am waiting. I went to the consulate web site but they have nothing about packet 3 so I sent them e-mail and their response was: "don't do anything untill your petition is aproved. we will send you the information you need when the time comes" Not exact quote but that was the meaning. Oh well enogh complaining.

Good luck everyone with the race. I hope we are losers :))

  7. Checked online tonight and saw that we got our NOA2 today!!!! First time I have been able to get a status and it's good news!

    Congratulations!!!!

    Good luck

    Hey girl Congratulations..

now one more step n you will be with ur love..well best wishes.

Just wnted to ask those who have been calling NVC , my fiance has been calling them for the last 3 days n first noone was answering it n then it is continuously busy ...have you guys faced this problem as well? if you email them do they send a reply ..please help me in this...and also only the petitioner can call and get info from NVC or i can also call being the beneficiary?

Congrats to all those who r getting approved..

I've read other threads and apperantly there is a problem at the NVC. A lot of people can't contact them. Don't know what to tell you. I guess just wait and see what happens

  8. Yes I am the beneficiary. My fiancee (the USC) is making more than the povery line. I was just wondering if they might think it's a problem if I don't have a stable income. Do you think it will be enogh if I show bank statements that I have savings but no income? As I already said I had a denial on a tourst visa just after I graduated when I wanted to visit my fiancee. They said I don't have strong connections or something with my home country?!?!?

I am afraid this might be a problem again. I don't really understand why money are really an ussue. Seriously. When I was interviewed there was a girl who was going to the states just for shopping.????

  9. I have a question/problem. I am not employed and I am a little bit worried about the interview for K1 visa. I read the VJ wiki and the questions they might ask me at the interview and one of the questions is 'what do you do for living?" well it might be strange but I don't work. I help my mom at her job but I don't have any documents for being employed and so on. Do you think that might be a problem? Do you think I should get hired and any job just for the document that shows I receive any kind of income? I just graduated my university and I haven't really looked for a job.The money are not really an issue but I have a denial of a tourist visa because of not being employed and now I am wondering if they will make it a problem again.

Any thoughts or suggestions are wellcome

    Thanks

  10. VSC is so quiet today!!! I think i am going crazy. Keep checking VJ and then USCIS web site. it's like a magic circle. I know it's the same with you guys but come on Vermont! Give us something to glow about. I really hope and pray for all of the November fillers (and for the others too but everyone is a bit selfish, right?) oh well no point of moaning about it. won't change a thing.

    GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Well Erik flew on 3rd of February for $778 bought from travelpapa.com. Actually that was the most expensive flight he bought so far but he moved in Atlanta so maybe that's why. Before that we were flying out of DC. In 2006 was only $680 and last year $590. Other great place to get cheap plane tickets to bulgaria is malincho.com. Yes all the plane tickets were with Lufthanza trough Frankfurt or Germany. We are also hoping this will be our last ceparation and we keep having fingers crossed. My parents still can't understand why is it taking so long and keep asking me to go to the US embassy in Sofia to ask about my case :))) If it was only that simple.

Good luck Shad and enjoy your stay in Bulgaria.

  12. Well he took me to a ballet in Rome :) We saw the Sleeping beauty and after that he took me to a very nice restaurant. It was unbelievable. I got flowers at our hotel room. Just at the beggining of our trip he gave me a pair of diamond earings. They were for St Valantines but he couldn't wait. And of course a box of my favourte chocolates. But i think the best of all was that we got to spend that day together. He is my sweetheart and that's what st valentine's for. to be with the person you love and to show that in variety of ways :)

  13. Hello from Bulgaria. I don't know if that would help at all but when i was having an interview in October (denied tourist visa) there was this couple in the embassy and they were together at the interview. At the embassy in Bulgaria first you go trough passport check, security check and then you are let into the consular office (i am assuming that's what they ment by letting you in for the interview). Then you go to a clerk (bulgarian guy it was) who reviews your documents at first before they are passed to the consular officer. I didn't see much before i left but yes they were asking questions to the girl (bulgarian) and her fiancee was just staying there next to her. the interview is right there with the rest of the aplicants so you don't have much privacy. Our cases are very similar (i was denied a tourist visa too) and i am really hoping this won't be a problem but again we shall see.

    Good luck in your journey

  14. It really sucks, but it looks like your going to have to make a choice. Wait to come to the states or miss the wedding. :(

It does really!!!! I am so frustrated and I really hope for a miracle. I can't believe those are the choises. I guess we'll see. Lets hope for the best. VSC are moving faster now so I am really hoping for an approval somewhere in Apr. A bit too optimistic I know but hey aren't we all hoping to see our sweethearts as soon as possible. Right now I am focusing on his vacation in BG for 2 weeks and I am so happy and impatient to see him. We are going to spend some time in Rome for Valentine's day and that will probably be the most amazing day ever :)

Thank you all for the replies
