Where does the money to supplement the insurance premiums come from? A family of 4/two children make 51000 (us median, us average number of children). They pay $1761 in annual income taxes. Their silver premium is $8975. Government pays $5466 as a "tax credit" for taxes never paid in the first place to supplement that premium.

It is not a satisfaction at all that in 86.9% of America, the murder rate is 2.14, and in 13.1% of America the murder rate is 15.7. Our problem in American is not guns, or gun ownership, it is an extreme difference in culture and values based on demographics.
86.9% of America should not and are not willing to pay for, be penalized for, lose rights for, or in any way, shape, or form have to answer to or for the actions of 13.1%.

I honestly don't know who it covers, but it's an irresponsible parent that leaves a gun or any other dangerous thing laying around for a child to get there hands on. Lots of kids have been poisoned by drinking antifreeze that was left within their reach. There have been cases of antifreeze being stored in soda or oj bottles and the young child finds it on the garage floor and drinks it. Knives don't make good playthings either for toddlers. Common sense.

And I'll add that irresponsible gun owners should get a bit of education about gun safety too. It starts with the gun owning parents and any gun owner who may have children in their homes. These accidents are due to irresponsible adults.

Name one single group that comprises 25% felons on the planet other than African American males. There is none. There are other poor societies, or other societies that do not have access to education, or other societies and groups that meet every single other metric. No other group has conciously and deliberately chosen to prey on the rest of civilized society.
