    No they use DHL. Don't really know what you mean by 5 to 15 packages. You have no idea how many packages they are sending. There might be 100 petitions in one shipment going to an embassy. Thats why I say its a guesstimate they don't send one at a time.

    Do you realize NVC receives 45,000 petitions a month. A month. So imagine the mailings to embassies around the world. That's why monitoring your tracker on the website is far better then tracking DHL.

    And there's no way to "guesstimate" when it will be mailed. Huh. Mine was sent 2 weeks after I got interview a full month before the interview.

    Once it says In-Transt you will see nothing on DHL. because In-Transit is NVC and it doesn't register on DHL for abt 2 days it goes fro NH to Boston.

    Oh ok thank you. I thought every shipment has one case file only didn't realize they combine cases. This makes sense now.

    I was playing with the DHL tracking thing to guesstimate when my package will be shipped to the embassy. I looked at all the packages shipped in December for ALL countries and I noticed that NVC shipped between 5 to 15 packages a day in December.

    Now considering the huge volume of applications they deal with this can't be true!! Do they use other shipping services or what am I missing here?

    CC Dec 23rd. My hubby called NVC yesterday and I got interview date of Feb 27th Mumbai Consulate. I don't know why it got pushed to the end of Feb, I have seen people here in VJ with CC later than ours, who have got early Feb interview. Good for them, for we were also hoping for early feb interview. We are really upset. I will call embassy to see if they have got earlier slot.

    When they assign interview dates they DON'T go by CC date, they will go by your priority date.

    I did send a letter but without the photocopy of NOA-1 or I-797 because I have neither.

    But where to send to? I don't have that so I sent to addresses in Dallas, Chicago, Vermont and Missouri.

    I am wondering if I will ever even know if these things were received or not? It's very strange they don't even let you know...

    The letter said:

    To Whom It May Concern:

    I am requesting the official withdrawal of my Affidavit of Support form I-864. The receipt number for the pending I-485 case is xxxxx The reason for this withdrawal is our separation and pending divorce.

    The applicant's name (for the I-485 case):xxxxxx

    Date of Birth:xxxxx

    Original Petitioner's name (for the I-129f) xxxx

    Date of Birth: xxxx

    Her A-number A# xxxxx

    Her Social Security # is xxxx

    I respectfully request a confirmation that my support has been withdrawn.

    You need to send it to the address on your NOA1. You should get a confirmation letter within 10 days after you mail it.

    Hello everyone, best of luck to us all and congrats as we made it this far :) Got a question and hope someone can help to answer

    I have been told that the officer at the embassy is the one that basically denies or approves your visa request, can he also request that you file additional forms or even request a sponsor for your case ?? Thanks for any helpful answers

    Yes they have the right to request everything they find necessary. It happens all the time where people get asked for sponsor at the interview.
