  1. So today is our 61st day for our AOS scan. I called this morning knowing that they have already told me that they review documents together according to last document scanned. They only confirmed this. I argued my case with the rep. and when she couldn't do anything I asked for a supervisor. None was available. She put a request to have one call me.

I say all of this because I just now noticed that we have 3 N/A's on the CEAC website. I don't know if my earlier conversation has anything to do with this and I certainly hope it means what I think it does. IV scan date was 9/10.

Congrats... Looks like you one of the lucky ones who went through NVC in no time most of us been waiting much longer.

  2. You are correct. I have been following your case because my scan date is 29th Aug. How is it possible?

I think it's a good sign we seeing Sep CC's already... This means more people are reviewing documents. This indicates they check out docs for a week (or so) and start reviewing them. If you have august scan date and no cc yet this mean your doc is "checked out" waiting to be reviewed. Some people work faster than others so whoever finished reviweing the documents they checked out now can start on Sep scan dates....

I hope this makes sense to everyone?

  3. I remember reading your post about that and was terrified when I called.

I told my husband,"this N/A is either a checklist or case complete" and did not want to get my hopes up.

Just the thought of a checklist, dear God.

Have they found your docs or did you have to re-submit?

Rooting for you. Hopefully it gets sorted soon and you can complete this lengthy process.

Nothing changed yet... will be calling again tomorrow, been hanging out at NVC since May I think it's time for me to move on to something more exciting

The funny part next day N/A changed back to PAID :ranting: ... good thing I took few screenshots to stare at whenever I need a "dose of hope":rofl:

  4. Hello all!

First off, I have to say I have followed this forum since my case got to the NVC in June and have gotten lots of useful tips, learned the lingos etc etc.

Great to finally write a post and especially with good news.

So my AOS fee changed from paid to N/A today and thank the Lord, I have a case complete!. Phoned the NVC and after being on hold for 55mins I spoke to one of the reps (Ariel) who confirmed it.

I got back from work at 11pm and it was a great way to end the evening.

Last scan date September 3rd! A miracle, I know.

    No checklists. Praise the Lord.

My case got to the NVC in June, but as an F2A. Took almost 2months to get it upgraded to IR1 after my husband became a citizen!

Then came the 30day wait to 30business days and now 60days.

If I have learned nothing else in this whole ordeal, it is that patience is a garment that must worn all day everyday.

I can identify with people who check every email waiting for that one email from the NVC.

My husband did most of the paper work but we were SUPER organized, i.e OCD type. Made sure we had everything and more before sending off docs. Attached cover letters to everything.

Saylin's guide is gold I must say (Thank you).

I read the travel.state.gov website line by line and can pretty much recite all the requirements by heart.

Knowing what originals you need plus copies is vital.

I know the feeling of seeing others whose cases have been completed and wishing the rest of us goodluck but still feeling left out.

This post is to say, it will happen to you too! That paid fee will change to N/A when you least expect it.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

    Sorry for the long post!

Congrats... Unfortunately my experience with Paid changing to N/A wasn't as pleasant as everyone on here. Got excited for nothing when mine changed... Called and was told I have a checklist for something I already submitted. Now got more calls to do etc. to get this sorted out.

  5. What should I do to solve this?

Got a checklist from NVC saying I sent the wrong marriage certificate and divorce document. I know I didn't but I confirmed with my lawyer and contacted the consulate directly and they both said I have the right documents.

I had a supervisor reviewed my case and was told these are the wrong documents. Now I don't know what to do because I know for fact I submitted everything right the first time.

Any idea how to handle this?

  6. Why me?

Got up on Thursday morning to check CEAC first thing in the morning and guess what? PAID under AOS was changed to N/A I was happy thinking it was CC. Called NVC to confirm and was told I have a Checklist because I didn't send the right marriage certificate. I know I did so talked to a supervisor to review the case and was told the same, not the right document. Next day checked CEAC again and N/A changed back to paid.

Thinking I had CC was unbelievably exciting and I felt full of happiness while it lasted... I thought I will be making my last call to NVC. Now I sent the documents again and will be calling everyday to get this sorted out. Waiting another 60 days is out of the equation because I sent everything right the first time and I have been at NVC since early May.

Any ideas on how to handle this?

  7. My impression is that you got a CC and the checklist they are seeing is a false one if you say the documents they were asking were already submitted.

I suggest calling again telling them the docs in the checklist were already submitted. I hope its a CC for you..

Thanks. I hope that's the case. Called and talked to the supervisor Sylvia (what a sweet lady) and she supposed to review my case and call me back.

Anyone seen a case with 3 n/a's and no CC? I can't be the first one :wow:

  8. If anyone has a suggestion that might help in this situation it would be apprecaited.

Really depends on your luck I seen cases where sending a document late didnt change and thing as they reviwed last document recieved with the ones they initially had. Other cases I seen sending new documents reset the 60 days counter. In one case I seen they gave cc despite missing one document and asked to just take it to the interview.

You can just never guess what's going to happen when it comes to NVC... Wish you good luck and speedy CC!
