Hi everyone - sharing our E11 full interview experience in case it helps someone else.
1. Arrival & Security:
Arrived about 10–15 minutes before our appointment. No major line. Standard airport-style security. Phones placed in small lockers. Staff were professional and polite.
2. First Window (Document Intake):
They checked original civil documents:
Passports
Marriage certificate
Birth certificate (child)
They confirmed:
Whether this was our first marriage
Whether our child is biological
Residential address
U.S. address for Green Card delivery
Phone number
I asked about correcting a DS-260 response regarding prior visa refusals for my spouse. The officer confirmed the interview officer could unlock and update it.
3. Second Window (Biometrics):
Fingerprints for both of us. Very straightforward.
4. Final Interview Window:
We took the oath first. Officer was calm and professional.
Questions asked:
Have you ever been arrested?
What do you do for a living?
What does your spouse do?
What will you be doing in the U.S.?
Have you been to the U.S. before?
My spouse disclosed prior refusals (B1/B2 12 years ago due to missing school transcript; TN attempt due to incomplete employer details). Officer asked for the years and brief explanation. No probing beyond that.
He stated:
He kept our passports and gave us instructions for passport tracking. Estimated 2–3 business days for review and up to 2 weeks for passport return.
Total time inside: roughly 45–60 minutes.
Overall Impression:
Very document-focused. No deep dive into EB-1 merits. Straightforward and professional. My advice, don't volunteer information beyond what's been asked. Answer clearly and concisely. Bring originals and copies. Stay calm.
Hope this helps someone.
No, same CA passport.
